π About New Hope for Poor
ποΈ Our Story
Founded in 2012 in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, New Hope for Poor emerged as a grassroots response to the suffering of displaced people, war survivors, and vulnerable families affected by poverty and conflict in the Great Lakes region.
What began as a local initiative to provide emergency relief has grown into a dynamic nonprofit organization that empowers women, youth, and entire communities through education, sustainable development, peacebuilding, and climate action.
Rooted in compassion and justice, we work hand-in-hand with those who have been silenced, excluded, and forgotten β restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity.
π Our Vision
A world where every person, regardless of their background or situation, lives with dignity, peace, and opportunity.
π― Our Mission
To empower vulnerable communities β especially women and youth β through humanitarian action, education, environmental justice, and economic resilience, in order to build a more peaceful and equitable society.

Solidarity: We walk with those we serve.
Justice: We challenge inequality and discrimination.
Transparency: We act with integrity and accountability.
Peace: We promote nonviolence, reconciliation, and coexistence.
Empowerment: We invest in people as changemakers.
