[The video starts with Terra at the park on a sunny day, surrounded by some strange-looking teenagers -- the Teen Titans. They're all laughing, Starfire is doing Terra's hair, Cyborg is teasing Beast Boy, and the whole atmosphere is generally warm and happy.

Suddenly, though, just as a cloud passes in front of the sun, everything changes. All of the plantlife is withered and dead, people are screaming, and there's a constant buzzing of white noise over the top of all of it. The others are still laughing and cheerful, but Terra gets to her feet and looks around, scared.]

Guys? What's--?

[When she turns back to them, they're bruised and beaten, but still laughing as if nothing was wrong; she stumbles to touch Robin's shoulder carefully, but when her fingers brush him, he shatters into pieces, like glass. The same thing happens as she tries to touch Raven, Cyborg and Starfire, and from behind her, Beast Boy is now glaring.]

You did this.

[Terra turns to him, crying now.] W-what? Beast Boy, no, I didn't--

You betrayed us, I can't believe I trusted you! You liar!

[Their surroundings are entirely pitch black now, and it seems as though they're standing on a thin pillar of rock. Terra tries to step back, and nearly falls over the edge.] N-no! I-- Beast Boy, I-I'm sorry, okay?! I screwed up, I know I did, but--! [But he shatters too, and she steps forwards to pick up a fragment shakily.]

My, my, what have we gotten ourselves into now, dear child?

[She whips around to face Slade, clutching the fragment in her hand until it splinters into her skin.] Don't. I don't want to talk to you, leave me alone!

I don't believe the decision is up to you, my dear. [He takes a step closer, and Terra cries out in horror.]

Go away! [As she says it, the rock beneath his feet crumbles away and stumbles backwards, falls. Terra shrieks and lunges quickly to grab at him, attempt to catch his hand, but he's already gone, and she's left on her knees, peering over the edge of the pillar into the darkness and fighting back tears.

A hand encased in metal grabs her by the hair suddenly and lifts her, and when she takes a tentative peek at her assaulter, both of her eyes fly open with a choked gasp.]

Traitor.

[The girl is Terra, dressed in metal and bandages. Her hair is covering her right eye, and she looks to be an entirely different kind of person; cold, distant. On her chest is a circular emblem -- an 'S'.]

I-I'm not--

Don't fool yourself. You haven't changed a bit.

[The dream Terra reaches out and presses a metal-gloved thumb against the real Terra's right eye, and the real one kicks frantically at her doppleganger's bandaged legs.] No! Shut up-- j-just shut up, I'm not-- Leave me alone!

[Dream Terra smirks condescendingly and tightens her grip.] Since when were you ever in control? [She throws the real Terra over the edge, watching as she falls, screaming, wind whipping at her, and as the darkness engulfs them both, the dream ends.]

She pulled a rock from the cliffside and, riding it, made it fly up to meet them; Terra skipped their introductions, obviously being a fan of them, and instantly hit it off with the group -- especially Beast Boy, who was infatuated with her. However, confirming Robin's suspicions that something wasn't quite right, Terra had already been found by someone; Slade.

Quickly taking in the spunky geomancer as their friend, the Titans allowed her to stay with them, finding out that she didn't have parents or any place to call home. Still, Terra was worried about something, and she confessed it to Beast Boy that night; she didn't know how to completely control her powers. Extremely insecure about it, she made Beast Boy promise not to tell anyone else, and they swore on it -- and she passed the obstacle course the next day with few troubles, leaving it to seem like the secret was just between her and BB.

Terra finally felt like one of the Titans when they took her on a mission to catch Slade, but she panicked; upon trying to crush some of Slade's robots, the ceiling also crumbled on Beast Boy, and she ran before the others could see her, terrified. Catching sight of Slade, she followed him and blocked off his exit path, only for him to reveal that she had walked into a trap, and block off the only other exit route. They scuffled briefly, Terra clearly being beaten, but Slade took it easy on her; he didn't hit her much, only lectured and instructed her like a teacher would. He told her that the Titans couldn't help her with her powers, and that they would shun her, just like everyone else did, when they found out; Terra finally snapped, and her powers created a small tornado in the tunnel, catching her up and trapping her inside. Slade escaped before Beast Boy could arrive, but BB managed to pull Terra out of the whirlwind and comfort her.

That night, when Robin handed her a communicator and told her they wanted her to stay as one of the Titans, he offhandedly mentioned that even though she couldn't completely control her powers, they could help with that; and Terra came to the conclusion that Beast Boy had told him her secret. Furious and betrayed, she left, and ran to the only person left that she could trust -- Slade.

She returned to the Titans later, and, secretly working for Slade, told them that she wanted to take up their offer of her being a part of the team. Reluctant after last time, they let her join them on a mission to stop Slade, which they did a bit too easily, and took her in as a member. It was only the first part in Slade's plan.

After a few weeks of being a Teen Titan, Terra started what would reveal her true intentions; she e-mailed the security code passwords to Slade, which could be used to shut down the Tower's defences and alarms. However, she clearly still had a soft spot for Beast Boy, as she took him out on a date that night to save him from the attack. Unfortunately, Slade showed up to ruin their night, and Terra fled after pulling the two away from each other. She tried to hide in the Hall of Mirrors, but when faced with the duplicates of her own terrified reflection, she collapsed and realised how she had screwed everything up. When Beast Boy followed after her, she jumped to her feet and admitting that she was messed up, that she had ruined everything and how she was just so confused and scared -- but Beast Boy rejected her, and sent her back to Slade once again, now believing that she had no one else.

Over the time that Slade taught her, took her as his apprentice and made her reflect his image, she saw him as a somewhat warped father, and he in turn treated her almost like a daughter. She had become twisted for the only person she thought gave a damn about her, the only person left in the world who she could trust; and she trusted him more than anything, without hesitance. On his order, she would attack the Titans with no sign of regret, instead taking a sick pleasure in beating the ones who, in her eyes, had betrayed her. At the final command, Terra split up and tracked down each of the Teen Titans before sending them all underground, where they would be no more of a problem to her master.

But after that, she believed she was done. She had gotten her revenge, and Slade ruled the city; she was free, right? However, upon trying to remove the emblem that was on her chest, she found that it wouldn't come off, and had fused to her somehow. Slade chose now to reveal that it was too late for her to leave him -- he had complete control over her, whether she liked it or not, and he demonstrated the electrocuting effect of her armour, which bent her to his will. By the time the Titans were back, Slade had total control over her body, and he attacked them with it, until she was finally cornered a second before crushing Beast Boy. He told her that Slade didn't control her, that she was letting him control her, and that she could still fight back -- and now with the confidence that there was someone else in the world she could still believe in, she turned her attack to Slade. He tried to stop her, but she snapped once again, and her powers exploded, creating a volcanic eruption beneath them. Slade fell into the stream of magma and was killed.

As the cave filled with magma, Terra and Beast Boy said their goodbyes, and she sent him to safety before using her geomancer skills one last time in a desperate attempt to solidify the magma and stop it from rising to destroy the city. The Titans returned afterwards to find Terra encased in stone, and it became her grave.

In the final episode of the series, Terra's "statue" was gone, and Beast Boy found a girl who looked exactly like her; but their personalities showed no similarities, and when it came to likes and dislikes, they were complete opposites -- she also denied being "Terra", but never gave her name. Still, when Beast Boy persisted that she had to be Terra, the girl told him that things change, and that the girl he was looking for no longer existed; it's possible that the girl was actually Terra, merely faking her identity, that she had amnesia, or that she really wasn't Terra. Either way, she left with that cryptic remark, and Beast Boy was left to wonder.

Personality: Terra is hip, tomboyish and very laid-back. She's very much a "leap before you look" kind of person, and acts without considering consequences. She's not good with rules, never having had them laid down for herself, and she's very care-free, as you would expect from a girl who lived her life without parents and rules to follow. She makes friends easily, and is generally a very up-beat, warm girl, capable of cheering pretty much anyone up just by being around.

However, she's secretly a very lost, confused and insecure girl -- she has a lot of issues that she's probably not even aware of, including extreme control issues; she doesn't like the idea of not being in control, which is the case often. Her powers are a constant source of worry for her; whenever she used to go somewhere to try and help people with them, her emotions would go haywire and she'd cause all kinds of disasters accidentally, forcing her to run away once again. Especially after all the ordeals with Slade and the Teen Titans, Terra has serious trust issues, and is scared of both betrayal and rejection. She has no idea of right and wrong; when she was devoted to Slade, she probably never even considered what they were doing to be "wrong" -- all she knew was that she trusted Slade, that he actually wanted her, and that the Titans had "betrayed" her.

Even so, despite everything that he did to her and the Titans, to Terra, Slade is still her skewed interpretation of a father figure, because she's never known better. Although she could fight him, she'd be caught in an internal conflict, because she's a bit of a daddy's girl when it comes to him.

Thankfully, she's absolutely terrified of becoming what she was when she sided with him, and she never wants to hurt people again, having learned her lesson after seeing what everyone thought of her last time; it was that that really made her realise that she was doing bad things.

Other: She still has a scar on her chest from where the armour was fused to her; namely, the 'S' emblem that Slade placed on her. Her geomancer skills are also not as good as they were when Slade taught her, having been inactive for so long, but they're not a total restart; she's better than she was when she first met the Titans, but not as powerful as when she was controlled by Slade.

First Person (entry type): [laughing.] This place looks pretty cool, and hey, it's somehow connected with no internet, so I'm not gonna complain!

S'up, guys! The name's Tara Markov, and uh, I guess, it's really awesome to meet you, DDD! What kinda things go on here, anyway? Anything fun? I could totally use a break from stuff. Travelling really takes it out of you, y'know? Jump City is a total traffic jam in the morning, seriously. Took me hours to get out. [there's a sudden crash in the background and a yell.] -- Gah!

[another laugh, slightly sheepish.] Haha, work, right? So much trouble for a couple of bucks. But I guess it's survival of the fittest everywhere! Uh, what do you guys do for a living? I bet I could use some more ideas for next time I get moving.

Hey, yeah! That's a great way to get to know everyone! Guys, you gotta tell me something about yourselves, 'kay? Like, I love camping; pretty much every night, I just camp out under the stars; it's actually really cool.

Okay, go!

Third Person: It was nice to escape from everything; the moment Terra left Jump City, she felt like a massive weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She'd left everything that reminded her of those incidents, of them, of him -- all of it behind. She didn't need to avoid anyone outside of that place, and she didn't need to act anymore; she could go back to being good old Terra, and she didn't even have to play superhero to do it. People would gladly hire a geomancer as long as they didn't know who she was -- what she'd done. Sure, it wouldn't be nearly as fun, but she could cop a little bit of boring if she could be herself again.

Still, she couldn't just forget -- the guilt of everything lingered in the back of her mind and, sitting on a bench during a lunch break one day (she'd volunteered to help with building first; she was saving the mining for when she was sure her powers were stable again), she forced herself to think, and to sift through just what it was that was killing her so.

Naturally, she felt guilty for destroying the city, for nearly killing everyone like she had been planning. And there was a huge remorse for what she'd done to the Teen Titans, of course -- betraying them, then beating them down, and enjoying it. It was hard to understand, but she felt pretty bad for killing Slade, too; she'd just wanted him to stop, not to kill him. She'd murdered him -- and that caused a definite pang of guilt. She was a murderer. And of Slade, no less; after everything he'd done for her.

Nearby, a rock suddenly crumbled into dust.

No -- what he'd done was wrong, right? The looks on the Titans faces -- on Beast Boy's face -- and there it was again, that sharp pain in her chest. What he -- what they had done was definitely not the right thing, she could conclude.

Not to mention, after all of that, she'd been able to come back; to free herself, but she had just abandoned them all. She owed them all so much, and she'd left without a word of thanks, or a goodbye; Beast Boy must be heartbroken, she realised, and bit her lip to hold back tears. Then, was what she was doing now wrong, if it caused those looks on their faces again? That hurt in their eyes? Maybe starting a new life wasn't a decision she was allowed to make, after what she had done.

"Oi, Tara!"

She didn't quite look up at first -- but then, oh right, fake name, and she looked over to the builders calling her.

The man in front frowned, playfully. "You ain't slacking off now, are ya?"

Instantly, she grinned and jumped to her feet, swinging her arms as she stood. "Dude, are you serious? No way, man! I bet I can do ten times the work of any of you guys!" To prove her point, she flexed her fingers, and the huge block they were trying to shift lifted easily into the air.

Nah, this isn't wrong -- right?

"-- Uh, wait, where am I putting this again?"
