NETEagle is a very simple application developed to help you optimize your Internet connection and increase its speed and stability.

It has been created to optimize modem connections.
Considering its purpose, I was expecting the program to be a lot more intricate. I was a bit surprised to discover its utmost simplicity. Its interface consists of one single window where you are asked to select the OS and the connection type of your computer. Then with the press of one single button the optimization process can be started. There are no additional windows and no other settings or options, not even basic ones. A system restart is required. This application can be recommended especially to those who are not computer savvy and would like to improve their Internet connection without having to deal with settings that they don’t understand.

I appreciate the fact that it works with many modem connection types, such as the older 14.4, 28.8, 33.6 and 56 Kb, or the newer and more powerful ISDN, cable, DSL, ADSL, LAN, wireless connections and satellite modems.

Briefly, NETEagle makes it easy for anyone to squeeze the best out of their modem connections. It is clearly designed for the average users that care more about the final result: the better connection and less about what the program does to obtain that, as long as it gets its job done.

Pros

  • Very simple, neat and straightforward interface
  • Supports many types of connections

Cons

  • Requires system restart
  • The effectiveness of the optimization may depend on a high degree on the system type and configuration, therefore on some machines it can have little effect while on others it can have a huge impact
