Who is surprised? Not me! ;)

Here are my recommendations so far. I think all are NC-17, because that's how I roll (hee):

"Four (Or Five) Reasons for Kidnapping Tony Stark" by scifigrl47
http://archiveofourown.org/works/391599/chapters/642784
Tony/Steve. I haven't read it all, but it does sound very good.

"we were emergencies" by gyzym
http://archiveofourown.org/works/405828
Natasha/Clint getting back together after the movie. Very sweet, good character voices.

"Off the record" by Hella
http://archiveofourown.org/works/315889/chapters/507386
Tony/Loki. I don't know how much to rec it, since it's WIP and doesn't look like it's going to be finished. But it is very well written.

I'd be very grateful for more recs!!

Edited: to make proper links out of 'em

In case you were wondering - it's still awesome!!!! :)
Today we saw the funniest scene in the extras:
After the end of the "Avengers" making-of, we see a making-of the Falafal-scene. Joss yells "cut" and says "movie-history". Oh Joss, we love you! *hearts*

I had a hard time finding really good fic, most is pretty cray-cray!

Won't have much time reading it probably, because on monday, I'll be going to China! You guys, it's so exciting! I will be on business in Beijing for a week and then I'll travel around. Want to see Nanjing and meet an old friend and I'll also stay a few days in Shanghai. Haven't really seen anything other than Beijing during my last stay so I hope it's gonna be cool. I am a little scared to be there alone for two weeks, but I think I'll manage.
Looking forward to the flight in business class, too! Hee :) My boss has been telling me how wonderful it is and how much champagne we'll drink. Oy vey!

I really felt like getting away from everything for a while. So yesterday the bf and me went to the local airport, went to a few travel agents and booked a trip to Sardinia.
We'll go for four days in April, it's okay price-wise and we are staying in a really lovely four-star-hotel. We're normally apartment-renting people, I haven't stayed in many hotels in my life, but I'll enjoy not having to clean anything or fix meals for four days :)
This: http://www.hotelbrancamaria.it/en/ is the hotel, doesn't it look great?
The weather is supposed to be nice, around 20°C and I can't wait to get there!!!
I totally rediscovered my love for two tv-shows. Before christmas, I bought two box-sets for me, because they were just so ridiculously cheap.

Since after christmas, my bf and me have almost made it through all of BSG, and I love this show! I want to draw little hearts all around it :) I never watched it religiously before and I missed quite a few episodes in between and I never watched a single episode of the last season (where we are currently) and I am just blown away. Also, even though this show is old, old, old, I am completely spoiler-free, which I find very amusing :) For just 30€, that was a wonderful investment!

A little more expensive was the complete box-set of <strike>The White House</strike> (I obviously didn't watch with a lot of attention though, otherwise I would have notived the name is The West Wing), which I watched a few years ago up to the middle of season six with really crappy quality on my laptop. Now I have seven shiny seasons in wonderful quality and in a really attractive box and I fell right back in love. The cast is just so wonderful, the stories just so good and I have watched three seasons in a row so far. It also helps that I am really sick again and can't do anything than lie on the sofa anyways :)

tv-shows, I love you!

I just came back from a really lovely summer holiday!
We (boyfriend and I) went to the Netherlands, to Lemmer, close to the IJsselmeer, spent two days with his dad, who has a small, un-fancy motor yacht there and then went to Norderney, an island in the North Sea, visited friends of my boyfriend, slept on their couch and then went back to Lemmer in the Netherlands, this time to my boyfriend's little sailboat and sailed around the lakes of the Frisian Province.
It was so relaxing to just do whatever we pleased, not to have a plan, sailing over lovely water (sadly too cold to swim) and look at the water and the sky for over a week.
Plus, we didn't fight once which is quite an accomplishment in a boat with only about 6 square meters.
We crowned the holiday with a visit to the Hoge Veluwe Park http://www.hogeveluwe.nl/en/14 and the Kroeller-Mueller museum http://kmm.nl/.
I'll try to upload some pictures soon.

So, I have another new job!
Together with my job at university setting up a language tandem, I will be working as a program coordinator for a chinese exchange program from next month on. It is my absolute dream job and I am so happy I got it!
Money will be better, too. That is really a relief as well. Plus, it was absolute bliss to quit my job at the call center. BLISS :)

Other than that, I went to a really fancy wedding last weekend. I'm going to post the menu later, it was so fancy.
Also, the groom was a big shot in German football and there actually was the DFB-Pokal standing on a little table. We got to take pictures with it and hold it. Pretty awesome. I still have to get those (as well as the Star Trek pic, kskitten *stern look* ;) and I'll post them later, too.

Wow, I haven't written a proper update forever. Right now I am pretty happy with my life. Living with my boyfriend is great, my job situation is good and will probably get better soon and it is only five weeks to my holiday!!! Maybe that's why I don't write much - nothing to really complain about! ;)
At work, I have the best colleagues evah! Almost all around my age, all super nice and friendly and funny. We laugh and hang out and get lunch together - it is just so nice! After a rocky start with my boss we get along good now, too. I think she has taken a liking to me and she told me in absolute secrecy that she plans to get me another job soon, one that will be a better position in name (not in money, though) and which will get me to China once a year: weeeee! That would be so awesome!!!!
So keep your fingers cross for the 5th of July, then's my interview.
Other than that, I have started watching Hawaii 5-0 and I really like it, it's such a nice and dorky show. Plus, always teh gay suspense! Although I doubt Danno and Steve will ever make out. It's much too stereotypical for that. Now if Joss was in charge... Also it became another show to download rather than watch legally, since Sat1 decided in the middle of season one to stop airing it until September. What the fuck? Blergh, german tv sucks!

When I first heard about it, I was totally frustrated but it pretty much smoothed itself out.
This means I won't be going to Hamburg this year, which is a first. But my bf and I opted for making this the best fucking Christmas evah! ;) My parents where never big on Christmas and didn't even celebrated it until kskitten and I found out that other kids got presents around the end of the year. Seriously, there wasn't a decoration in our flat to be found. But by and by, my sis and I got my parents to obey the laws of Christmas and we visited the family, got presents and baked cookies. We never had a proper tree, either and the only time my sis insisted on one, they made her keep it in her room and and as far I remember it, she had to vacuum the needles by herself. :) They just always thought Christmas was way to religious and they are totally against any religions.

Since my bf always had a tree, we are going to have one this year, first Christmas we spend together after moving in together. My dad will celebrate with his girlfriend, which means I won't have to see her (yay!) and I even talked to the grandparents and told them that none of us is coming, since apparently my aunt booked a journey for Christmas and won't be there, either. They were pretty cool about it. kskitten and mom will probably be coming over from the 23rd to 26th, hang out and eat with bf's mom and us here on the 24th, then we'll invite the other side of his family for tea on the 25th and then just chill out.

I finished reading Finger Licking Fifteen by Janet Evanovich and I also finished The Carrie Diaries. Both books were way better than I expected!! I laughed myself nearly into hysterics with the Stephanie Plum novel (she's the heroine of the Janet Evanovich books) , such a well-written and funny book, I didn't expect that!
And The Carrie book was a really good read as well. I completely enjoyed it and thought it was very well written indeed! It's Carrie Bradshaw's coming of age story and in the very last sentences, she meets Samantha Jones. I practically squeed when I read her name. And the book stops right after they meet, which seemed like a well rounded idea to me. Carrie arrived in the big city, and we pretty much know the rest.
So, I am off to the Hornby next!

He created a whole world with new rules and a society that you really have to work to get into, because it's like nothing I ever heard before. With this book, Jasper Fforde has made me a fan of his work for life.
Wilsberg is a thriller that plays in my university town, Münster.
The one year in books are all written by women who stay in another place, another country for a year, life and work there. Some books are better than others, because the quality of the authors varies a lot.
Australia, New York and Tel Aviv were all really good, but I had to struggle to finish the Beijing book, because the author is just that bad! And that's the one I was kinda dreading to read from the beginning, because I have such specific memories of living there. She also writes pretty badly, too.

Next on my list: Finger Licking Fifteen, Janet Evanovich, Juliet, Naked, Nick Hornby, The Carrie Diaries, Candace Bushnell

All are recommendations by my old guitar teacher, who is really lovely. I am curious how I'll like them. I think Evanovich could have stopped her series a few years ago, there seems to be nothing new there. I really like some of Hornby's work, and then dislike others. And even though I love the series, I always disliked the first Sex and the City book. I think the series did much better the farer away they went from the book.

Wow, time does fly by...
It wednesday already, the end of May and I am moving on saturday, leaving my job on friday... It's too weird. I haven't finished packing yet and I hope I'll fit everything, but I haven't moved all my stuff for 7 years now and stuff just clutters and is everywhere. I have schlepped tons of stuff to the Oxfam store, a great way to ged rid of things you don't like and in the mean time, do something good, too.

I am going to miss my job. It is too weird, I never thought I'd like it, but it isn't half as bad as I thought and I love the atmosphere and the co-workers. I do get sad to leave. And a bit scared since I don't have anything new yet. I hope I'll find some badly-paid jo at least in the next two weeks, but in reality, it is possibly I won't. At least I'll get another paycheck at the end of june, so I won't be out of money soon.

The atmosphere at home became unbearable today, I am so glad to move away from my room-mates!!!!!! My one roomie, who I used to be really good friends with, is going to move into my room. My successor is moving into his. We have a clause in our lease that we have to paint the rooms when we move out. So I meant to paint my room on sunday, the day after my move. (I will also be painting the bathroom.) Now my roomie wants to paint my room on saturday, after we leave with my stuff and he wants me to paint his room. Sure, his room is bit smaller, but also he smokes a LOT and the wallpaper is full of nicotine and three of his four walls are deep red. It'll take me ages to paint that over in white. So I refused and he ended our friendship. He said "that was it". I was a bit shocked... Now I am not sure if I overreacted by refusing, or if he is nutso to end a friendship over that. I guess we have both been living together too long. Our attitude towards each other is just not friendly any more...

I am currently making pretty big changes in my life.
You guys know I took a job as a call center agent after college, because I couldn't find a well paid job, a job that you actually need a diploma for. The job is alright, the people are nice, I am far from being unhappy there. I am just unhappy overall. Having a middle-distance-relationship sucks, living with my roomies sucks and the fact that no-one wanted to hie me as something worthy sucks, too.
So I have taken it into my hands to change the things I can change: I am moving.
My roomies have started looking for a replacement and they might have already found one. If she takes the room, I'll be able to move in two weeks... Which is completely scary. I don't even know if that too soon to quit my job. Also, I don't have a new job in Dortmund yet, even though I think it won't be a problem to find something low-key. And I have the hope that when I live together with such a dedicated worker as my boyfriend is, I'll be better motivated to start looking again for jobs. I haven't been looking for the last few weeks, I have been just too downcast.
So I might be moving the weekend after next.
