The newly built M.V. PAC LIBRA, a 40,000 modern DWT multi-purpose vessel, made her inaugural call to the United States over the weekend, arriving at the Port of Morehead City on Friday. Our team celebrated her maiden voyage by presenting a plaque to the vessel’s Master, Captain Han Fengyun.
This vessel will join PACC Line’s regular liner service, strengthening NC Ports’ role as the primary East Coast gateway for natural rubber shipments supporting the tire manufacturing industry in North Carolina and throughout the region. NC Ports and PACC Line have partnered for more than 30 years supporting the tire manufacturing industry as well as the steel, plywood, and project cargo segments. Attendees to the plaque presentation included Kim Mattox (far right) who worked the very first PAC Vessel for NC Ports in 1994.
