11:16am: Schrodinger's breakfast
A conversation we had over breakfast today, up in Canary Wharf.

haggisthesecond: So... Schrodinger's cat...
naxos: Yes (and no)?
haggisthesecond: Haha! Actually, that kind of answers my question.

11:56pm: exotic sounding places
Since I got back, I've been amusing myself by being an armchair traveller and thinking of cool places I could, potentially, visit one day. As many of these places are purely names on an atlas to me, I was thinking on the way home about what are the most exotic sounding places in the world one could potentially visit.

A few names to kick off withCollapse )

9:57am: Yesterday my dad and I drove down to Walpole to go to the Valley of the Giants treetop walk. We haven't been to Walpole for over 15 years or so and the tree top walk is a new tourist attraction, which I thought would be a fun day out. It was indeed most impressive - we saw 400 year old tingle trees and photographs don't really convey the feeling of being suspended in air in the forest canopy. It's great to get back to nature like this.

Am flying back to London in 2 days but I'm already looking forward to my next trip back here.
