Canada’s nature strategy outlines path to turn targets into tangible results

Canada’s nature strategy reconfirms what NCC has always known: protecting nature is foundational to a strong Canada — for people, for the economy and for our long-term resilience.

This is the leadership we need. Conservation at this scale cannot be delivered by government alone. It requires partners who can mobilize capital, bring projects forward and deliver on the ground. Today’s announcement is the signal to move.

NCC is already doing this work, bringing new partners to the table, mobilizing private and philanthropic capital, and advancing projects that support both conservation and economic resilience.

Partnerships in action

Our model consistently mobilizes $3 in private and philanthropic capital for every $1 of public investment, and on some of our most recent large-scale projects, it goes even further. That’s a credit to the donors, foundations and business partners who have put their resources behind conservation that delivers. They make the leverage possible.

The partnerships are in place. The projects are ready.

If this matters to you, there has never been a better time to be part of it. We’re in. Are you?
