Native Instruments Solid Dynamics combines a stereo compressor with a gate/expander module. The result is a responsive, clean-sounding, works-on-anything effect for processing dynamic range on single channels before they hit the master section.

The knee characteristic is switchable from soft to hard, and you can also switch between two attack modes (slow and fast) and two release modes (linear and logarithmic).
