Shared by Lauren • March 18, 2026

We’ve released a set of improvements to the Finances and People sections to give you a clearer view of your fundraising and more powerful ways to segment your donors.

These updates are designed to help you quickly understand performance, catch issues like failed or refunded donations, and take action with confidence.

💰 Finances: Clearer reporting and better visibility

📊 New summary stats bar

See key fundraising metrics at a glance:

  • Total raised
  • Number of transactions
  • Average donation
  • Number of contributors

These update dynamically as you apply filters.

Learn more about summary bar metrics.

🔍 See and filter ALL donation statuses

You can now view and filter transactions by:

  • Succeeded
  • Failed
  • Pending
  • Refunded

No more missing refunds or hidden failures, everything is visible in one place.

Learn more about donation statuses.

🧩 New filters in Finances

Donation status is (succeeded, failed, pending, refunded)
→ View all failed or pending transactions so nothing slips through the cracks

Payment processor is

→ Reconcile transactions by merchant account or compare performance across processors

🔄 Reorganized finance table (new!)

We’ve reordered the Finances table to emphasize transaction data first.

  • Amount and status now appear before donor information
  • The layout better reflects that this is transaction level data, not just people data

💡 Why these filters? Because you can…

Recover lost revenue
Filter by Failed to follow up with donors whose payments didn’t go through

Monitor refund trends
Filter by Refunded to identify disputes or systemic issues

Compare processors

Filter by payment processor to reconcile or analyze performance

👥 People: Build smarter donor segments

We’ve added new filters to help you better understand donor behavior and create targeted lists.

🧩 New filters in People

Has a recurring donation
→ [has / has not]
Split your database into recurring donors vs. one-time donors

Recurring donation frequency with status
→ Frequency: monthly or annual
→ Status: active, canceled, failing, failed
Find active donors, identify churn risk, or follow up on failing payments

Recurring donation started
→ [is / before / is before or on / after / is after or on / is between]
Identify recurring donors from a specific timeframe

Amount donated over time

→ Filter by amount + timeframe

Segment donors based on total giving (example: mid-level or major donors)

💡 Why these filters? Because you can…

Measure campaign success
Find everyone who became a recurring donor during your last campaign

Prevent donor churn
Identify donors with failing recurring payments and reach out early

Target the right ask
Segment donors by total giving to tailor outreach

Re-engage lapsed supporters

Find donors who previously gave but no longer have an active recurring donation

🔧 Developers

The Donations API v2 now includes a read-only payout_id attribute
→ Makes it easier to reconcile transactions with external accounting systems

ActionButton design refresh: cleaner, sharper, more engaging

Sean avatar
Shared by Sean • July 02, 2025

We’ve made a series of updates to improve how users engage with your buttons: all designed to make actions easier, clearer, and more impactful.

These changes include:

  • Cleaner, more focused design: We removed distracting horizontal lines and moved the “Created by” tag to the bottom of the button, helping the call to action stand out.
  • Seamless embedding: You can now easily remove the button's border with the new showBorder=true/false parameter.
  • More eye-catching colors: We’ve refreshed the button color palette to make it more vibrant and attention-grabbing across different devices and backgrounds.
  • Easier sharing: A new Copy Link option in the sharing menu and thank you screen makes it faster for users to spread your message across platforms.
  • More flexibility in branding: Prefer a cleaner look? You can now remove the logo from your buttons.
  • More inclusive language: We've updated the language “lawmaker” to say “elected officials” on the Contact Your Lawmaker button, to better support users across the globe.
  • More expressive user input: We’ve removed the character minimum for opinion-based responses on future buttons. This makes the Opinion button more flexible, allowing the submission of shorter responses.
