Viral Video Seemingly Showing a Food Delivery Thief Sparks Debate

A video going viral on X that seemingly shows a man stealing a food delivery has sparked a debate on social media.

On Thursday, July 2, a video was shared on the social media platform showing a woman recording from a car as a man walks up to a house, quickly snatches what appears to be a tied-up bag of food before sprinting off of the porch and back to the car.

The person filming laughs hysterically, and the man seems to also find the alleged theft funny as he smiles and does a silly walk back to the vehicle.

“He’s going up to take their food back,” the person filming says. They also captioned the video “POV: they [sic] food looked too good.”

It’s worth noting that the video was presented without much context. It’s unclear how the two people know each other, whether the man in the video initially delivered the food or was simply an opportunistic thief, or whether the entire thing was staged for a viral laugh. Regardless, the post online sparked a debate among viewers, with some finding the prank funny and others commenting on the theft.

“It’s great she got a nice good video of him with his face and smiling. That will make it pretty easy for the prosecutor and jury,” one user wrote.

“That’s about as funny a [sic] stealing Amazon packages,” another added sarcastically.

A third wrote: “Imagine being proud that is your man. If anyone I was dating ever stole someone’s food delivery for us to eat for free — I wouldn’t be able to dump that dirtbag fast enough. That is just not a real man. No one can tell me different.”

Meanwhile, another defended the woman in the video, writing: “What she supposed to do? Cry & call the cops???”
