I was wondering why no one was submitting to 'Trinity, turns out I extended submissions to the 24! I felt momentarily stupid, until I realized it kind of actually worked out for me since my job decided to make me work night shifts. 8D;;;

School starts next week for me and I plan it right, I'll get Tuesday through Thursday off from work and then work through Friday and Monday. Though it'll suck on weekends, I like it because for the most part this year my classes all start and end in the morning and the only night class I have is advanced web design on Wensdays. After last semester this is a blessing because two days out of the week, it was three classes in one, which ended up having me barely having an hour at home max before running out to get to the final class.

I found out my grade for my English class! I got a B in it. \o/ I think I would have gotten an A but I ditched the second essay because it didn't agree with me. I thought I was going to get at best, a high C because I didn't do it and the teacher told me I really needed it, but I guess I really didn't need it that badly. On that top, I finally decided to look at the books I needed for my Honors English class and it was scared me the first time I looked at it. I need 9 books this time around for one class but since I think they're going to be spread out, it probably won't kill me. :) That and I'm about to attack the library for some of these, they'd HAVE to have Equus or at least the Iliad.

For how much I complain about it, I actually end up doing all the work and I ended up getting high grades in stuff. I kind of hope this class with challenge me, because even with the tight frame of a 16 week course shoved into 6 weeks, by far the hardest part was actually just getting myself up to go to the class and actually doing the assignments. For this being college, at times it really does feel like high school all over again. Except infinitely more expensive.

I came up with the idea to have rotating banners on it, but it seems you need to have a paid account for that and I strangely can not find the option to give it like a month's paid time and be happy and done with it. :/ Since I don't think you can do it anymore, I'm sorry ~~Ffamran~~ gabranth, looks like we can't do it. :( ~~I'm going to go sulk in my corner with Venat. I feel like reinventing myself.

My year paid expires at the end of the month I believe, I feel like moving accounts and start paying on that one. This account almost feels like a burden (?) on me, I've had this one for over four years and a lot has happened on this one space that I'm kind of over it.

I feel bad for not really being here- I'm here but not really, because I haven't talked to anyone in so long. For once I have an offline life and its threatening to disrupt my online one, and it begs me to answer what's more important: the people I've known online or be outside with the people I've known known and gone to/go to school with. At the very least the due time for my icontests would be pushed back to at least midnight, so that isn't a huge difference but otherwise...just talking to people might get cut off and I dont want that. :/

This week has been really busy over at my job, I don't know if its a combination of overpanicked people over the earthquake, back to school or just stocking up on food to watch the Olympics, the last few days have been hell. Time flies at my job, but damn my knees start hurting after a certain amount of time.

So far this week at my job we have: losing our manager suddenly, received a new manager suddenly, had two people go on vacaction, two people get fired and then others schedules had to be changed drastically do to family problems. It all came together on friday because during my shift it was quieter (thankfully) the previous days but there was only five people actually set up to close the store and they asked me to help stock and clean stuff. I was more then happy to do it but I hope we hire more people soon because I don't know how long we can keep going without that many people.

Beforehand we were kind of alright but we were still looking for people because a few people either quit or found another job, now with everything else happening, we're barely hanging in there. I've already started staying longer and taking on shifts on days I normally don't work but I just hope they don't take it as me wanting to be full time. XD; I still have school at the end of the month.

I'm sitting here looking at this Ikea magazine, and I want to teleport myself there and attack the bedroom sets. ;____; Why must they be so pretty?

Since I'm taking on more hours/in general, realizing I can still buy stuff even when paying off my laptop, I've been eyed ball jointed dolls again. Specifically the dolls from companies that do layaways and suddenly it looks...affordable? Yeah, its a large amount (ok, really large) amount for a doll but they're gorgeous! ♥ I've been eyeing SOOM again, and D:! They make some of the most gorgeous dolls! And they aren't the generic type, they actually made succubi and incubi type dolls~ ~~that are sold out obviously but...~~. SOMEHOW I will get one of these dolls one day, one day~!

That or this Togainu no Chi figure. ~~I SEE YOU MILITARY!AKIRA. I'LL GET YOU ONE DAY 8D;~~

fabula_awards is dying. :/ I have no idea how to reverse the downward trend for it, but I want to save it and try to keep going. XD When I think of this, I think of ff12_awards in the beginning, because I remember watching it back when the game wasn't out and it had similar problems but look at it now, its amazing! ; ; ~~and has hilarious banners made of internets and win~~.

I'm not going to say anything about Breaking Dawn unless someone asks. Yea, I've read part of it, but I'm not really going to talk about it unless asked to.

On other book news I've rediscovered Robin Mckinley and I've figured out who's writing style has influenced me the most. It's been years since I've read her books but the moment I opened up THE BLUE SWORD I found it both embarassing yet thrilling that I actually knew the first page by heart. XD; Back when I was in last middle school, during high school I was addicted to this woman's books and her way of telling a story and I guess its rubbed off on me. It's made me nervous writing though because the similarities between the two are close but different, but still I don't know what I'd do if someone called me out on it. >:

I have the worst memory ever. so_vayne you'll get a link to the zip file I was suppose to send you yesterday afternoon. I'm horrid at remembering short term things yet I remember long term things.

I've lost two out of three of my flashdrives and its driving me crazy because I had this colored manga panel on it that I was really far in to. I hate having to restart it but I think I must. :/ Just sucks that I wasted all the time on it.

By the way, does anyone know where I can find really really high quality images of different anime series? Specifically Nodame Cantabile or Priness Tutu or even Kaleido Star or hell, anything? I've been stuck for several days trying to figure out wtf iamge to use for a layout- no, not a lj layout, a real one- but I can't find inspiration anywhere. :/

I have to get this off my chest:

What the hell is the point and purpose of yelling at cashiers over prices? I've seen this at my job well enough, that I have to explain several times a day our different prices and why this or that is slightly more expensive (What do you mean its 39 cents! It's suppose to be 33 cents!). I just came back from McDonalds and while I was waiting in line, the guy before me just went off at the poor cashier in training over 11 cents. 11 cents. Is it really that much a big fucking deal to make this girl's get red, and annoyed and then embarassed and at the end of it all, just smile and give the receipt and apologize. She didn't need to apologize, he needed to.

There's a little thing called different towns. He kept bitching that at his McDonalds, that apparently he visits every day, always makes him pay the lesser value. I thought of the streets and his apparent favorite is in another damn. town. There are different taxes in cities, one place may have 7.75% and say, Los Angeles has at least 8.00%. I would understand if the totally was way off and we made a mistake but 11 cents (or in my case, 6 cents)?

That and prices could have gone up for all we know due to gas. Yea, I'm going to use that damn excuse again, but it isn't really an excuse anymore. Trucks use the more expensive diesel, then our gasoline. What were people expecting when our prices went up, that their wouldn't go up here? I don't know about the rest of the country but out here, we're breaking out trains again to transport food, gas is ridiculous.

I wonder if Canada is having this ~gas emergency~ or if they're like the rest of the world, have sucked it up and dealt with it. Gas is twice of ours in Europe, Asia took care of its problem by making actual public transportation (I'm staring at you Los Angeles/Orange County).

I've mentioned I'd talk about this and so_vayne just reminded me of it, so here it is: what I do at my job.

...A 99 cent only store! Yea. Laugh it up and just give me that 'omg are you serious?' laugh. That's the same reaction to it, but its actually not that bad, at least not at my store. I'm one of four younger people and I'm the second newest person (a new stock person joined us and I rarely- if ever, see him) and I work cashier. If you've talked to me for awhile or known me for awhile, you know that I over think/don't see things right/right freak out over nothing, so needless to say I was nervous when they told me I was going to be cashier.

It's a really simply job, I thought it would be more complicated! Since everything in the store is at max .99 cents, if someone doesn't scan I can either push two buttons 'taxable' which is .99 cents that has tax on it and 'nontax' which is like the other button except no tax. XD The longest part and probably the hardest part is just bagging everything, but apparently I'm a natural at it. A lot of the customers seem to like how I bag their goods and sometimes ask me how I do it. I'd love to tell them but how do you tell someone that bagging reminds them of Tetris? XD I love the game and so when I have to figure out how how to put so many items in and how to do it without smashing stuff, I think of the game and viola!

For the most part I think I've met everyone and everyone is actually extremely nice to me, which I found surprising. The first two days I felt awkward and just generally clueless, because I knew no one and it felt rather isolating to be at a kiosk by myself but now I feel like I have people there to help me out. Though I still can't remember some names for the life of me. >_<; I think the only person that still makes me edgy is the night shift manager, I can't tell half the time if he's being serious or if he's joking. He always tells me, without fail, that he wants me to stay later and after going to work yesterday, I learned that he always asks/tells people to stay later but none of us rarely, if ever do. It would be one thing if he asked when it was actually needed but its every damn day. :/ It's just annoying. It's not that part that bothers me, it just you really can not tell if he's serious about that and everything else. That and he's slow as all hell. If you need customer service or you need anything, if you call a '99' or '____, to the front, customer service' its guaranteed its going to take at least a few minutes for him to get over there and he can just be in an aisle and you can see him. You really get the feeling he doesn't care though, because he's not the one dealing with an irate person telling you for the fifth time to page him when you can both clearly see him ignoring you.

On the topic of customers I think I generally get three types: the older generation, adults/kids and homeless. I think I might prefer the older generation at times then the other two categories just because they don't or can't get in my face that often (note: except one person I'll talk about later) and they're generally more easy going. That and its entertaining to be called a 'lass' or 'darling' every so often. XD; They're generally nicer but at times, I do get frustrated at them because they are the ones that without fail. Will have the exact change for you, the problem is, it takes awhile to get to that change and having to recount it and then having to dispute it with them. Which leads the other people in line to be RAWR when they get to me or make comments.

The second group of people I have a love/hate relationship with. Either they treat you like a human being or they treat you like your stupid or better yet, that your god of the store and that you don't need a manager when in fact you do. I can do a lot more then I thought previously with just my register but I still can't do everything without a manager- what would be the point of a head cashier or manager if I could? So far my biggest pet peeve dealing with this group is the fact that they'll buy in bulk, lets say, 26 things of ramen. Oh noez! The ramen apparently is suppose to be four for a dollar but is only ringing up for three (I think its more like 6 but for the hell of it, work with me)! They'll then tell you, after you've rang up everything else, that guess what, they don't want it. Normally if we ring something up twice and its close and we haven't rang anything else up, we'll give them the next item for free since they're the same price but if its that many I do have to call someone to get the key so I can scroll up and void things. I have no problem doing this, its just people think that a manager or a head cashier is going to magically teleport to my location and hand over the key.

Which brings me to my last group of customers: homeless. Sad to say but its true if you don't give someone food, they're more than likely going to use it on things they don't exactly. IE liquor they can happily purchase at their neighborhood 99 cent store. Company policy says we don't have to card anyone that looks under 30, so we don't. That and I think we all don't want an irate homeless man that smells like he bathed in said alcohol to cause a scene. Generally the people are as nice as they can be, its the smell they leave behind which is the problem and usually they get out fast, because we already know what they want. What kills me is that they can be spending the money they get on something more productive. You have no idea how annoyed I got that one of them actually gave me $20 dollars to buy several bottles, when they could be using said money for something better. :/

In other news, my cell phone died. Permanently. Finally. The glee that the piece of shit is dead is probably going to fade away once I realize I can't text any of the people who have this number. >:

It's really killing me not to have my manga folder from my old computer, but every time I try to boot it up now it immediately blue screens, even in safe mode. :/ And I believe I have finally discovered my majors and minor. I may major in English, and minor in History or vice versa.

Yea. I was awake, yes, I felt it. Was I scared? Not really. (My sister killed the fear, when literally a second before hand when we heard it coming she had to be talking on the phone and was like '......is that an earthquake'? before it happened)

I'm sick of turning on the news and seeing 'CALIFORNIA EARTHQUAKRE! !!11'First off, everyone knows California has earthquakes. In fact, I think they're kinda cool and feel cool. Is it scary? Yea, if its your first or second one, but you have a tendency to know when this stuff goes down when A. if you have a pet, they freak out or B. Everything and I mean everything suddenly gets quiet and you just hear this rumble.

In other words: it wasnt omg!catastrophe here. Honestly, the only really scary thing that happened was that for about an hour after it hit there was literally no cell phone service and the landlines were kind of shitty. What are we suppose to do in an emergency if we can't even call people to inform them that we are alive/hurt/whatever?

Sooooo I went to go see he Dark Knight at midnight on Wensday/Thursday! I won't give a summary or a review, all I have to say is this: you must see this movie. I don't care if its 'over hyped' (in my opinion, it wasn't) and I don't care thats only making oh so much money because one of the leads died. This movie is solid, well rounded and perfect. For once and thankfully, the people behind this movie when they picked the Joker made him what he was suppose to be: a terrifying super villian, that really is a mirror for Batman. No, I'm not spoiling anything by saying that, if you just watch the old cartoon shows or hell, read the comics you'd know their relationship. Heath Ledger really went all out in this performance, though it is dark, there are moments that make you laugh.

If they make the next film I hope they try to salvage some of the other Batman villians, I'd really love to see what they'd do with Catwoman or if they'd really reinvent and salvage Poison Ivy (if they do her, I hope they have Harley Quinn along for the ride 8D; ) or The Riddler.

After that I got home around 3:30 in the morning, and promptly passed out to go to work at 8, really didn't sleep much and went on to work until 4 pm. I checked my email afterwards and just went to bed after that, that's partially the reason why I really haven't been online these past few days- I've either been sleeping or working.

But yea, liiiffe update.

So. The most pressing news. Announced at E3, FINAL FANTASY XIII is going to lose its PS3 exclusivity. Meaning it's going to be on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. When I heard the news I was pissed. Like unbelievably pissed because 1. it would REALLY help the ps3 sell more and 2. wtf square. It's meant for the playstation. D:

But after talking to some of my friends and a Gamestop worker (more on him later), though we as FF addicts may hate it, it was a necessary move on Square's part. All they've been releasing currently have been handhelds. The last large console game was Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System and that isn't going to America and Europe so thats a huge loss. Odin Sphere doesn't count because Atlus released it first before Square somehow got the rights to release it. That version of FFXII came out earlier this year, but the last true world wide released game was Dawn of Mana back in 2007. The rest are Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable, that and upgrade for Final Fantasy XI and other online properties. I have no idea how they've stayed afloat because their video game budgets just for doing all the coding and animating and making things crazy cool looking must be big.

So they had to do it. It must have been pretty bad since Sony does own a part of the company and everyone and their pet rock knows how much of a hit Sony is taking for making the PS3 as cheap as possible for consumers to buy. (Yea, its expensive. But you're getting at least 50% discount on it, that other 50% Sony is slowly drowning in.)

Anyway, I bought Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and preordered Soul Calibur 4 ♥. :) In the process I found another Final Fantasy fan and I have discovered a trend amongst us FF fans in my city. We also huddle together close and we always talk low and we get all quiet when someone comes around. We almost treat it like a secret. XD; We also talked about Star Ocean 3 and Square's current predicament and he seemed really good.

The game though? I loaded it and I had a nerdgasm, the game is so amazing! It's exactly like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance so far, which is a really really good thing, just updated! Oh Luso, you dork ♥.

99; Everyone has probably guessed I don't like Twilight but. What the fuck did they do to Edward? You can click on the image to get a larger size of it, but what the hell happened to this image? They overkilled the paleness, I've seen people who were literally paper white, they made Edward literally look like the reanimated dead in this and his eyebrows are just O o; worthy. Yes, Edward is a vampire but it just seems like they got lazy with it or something D: I don't know how to explain it! I think they really did a disservice to the character if they're going to make him look like that. o o;;;

I have no problem with Bella outside the fact that it does look photoshop was used (it might not have heavily been used due to the lights and cameras and such used for these type of shoots) but still. :/ The rest of the images of the article can be found here, originally I saw this posted up on ohnotheydidnt. I think the rest of the images look really good, (I particularly like the image of Bella in the third) but the cover shot in my opinion is just bad. I doubt I'll see the movie (now that I don't work at the movie theater, I have to pay 11/12 bucks for a movie >: ) but its interesting just seeing the images for it.

And I'm totally ignoring that red bubble at the top.

So far my evaluation of Windows Vista

Pros:

- It's pretty, I can totally see the Mac/Apple influence on this OS, when I first booted it, I was kind of caught off guard by the visual similarities
- ..its really pretty?
It acts like a Mac OS for some of the stuff, it gives me the ability if I hit a key to change program screens for me. I don't know how to explain it accurately but its amazing. Actually this is just apart of my computer since because apparently its called the Dell Dock, so I guess Microsoft has no part in this 66;;

Cons:

- the DRM or Digital Rights Management. One comment: No.
- I can't work Photoshop or Open Canvas on here. >: They are not compatible for some reason yet I got Illustrator to work wtf
- How many gigs this thing eats just sitting on my hard drive. I ordered 250 gigs (I got 222 >: ) and I've already used 27 gigs, this could be from the programs but I haven't put anything on this yet besides Mozilla Firefox, utorrent and the blue edition of Microsoft Office which is half a gig. All together I've put less then a gig on here and somehow 27 gigs is still gone. It's beyond ridiculous that something like this should take THAT MUCH space.
- The fact it will not let me put Windows XP. I still have my disk from my old computer and I booted it up and the only thing I can not do is put XP on here, it says its not Compatible.

I'm going to make this thing XP if its the last thing I do. :/

Errr... Dissidia isn't new, I've known abuot it for months. It will only feature up to game 10 because that was the traditional series, 12 broke away from the main team, thus its not gonna be on it. It's also for the Playstation Portable/PSP, so now Playstation 2, but you can play on your tv via PS3. I feel like such an odd person out because I regularly check on video games and get updates on stuff. XD;

I wish I had my new laptop so I could download a bunch of media and make icons. XD;

WELL. This past week has been an experiment on trying to juggle classes vs. work, and I finally caved and dropped my Illustrator class. There was no way I could keep up with doing three chapters a week in just that class (and dealing with illustrator, which to me feels like Photoshop's little brother trying to be like it but just generally hell of a lot more confusing). Combined with two essays a week amongst other literary homework, it just wasn't going to work. :/

Better then having an F on my transcript though, that's for sure.

I have work in less then thirty minutes now, which kind of sucks but its only five hours. gabranth I'll see you in like 5- 5 1/2 hours from now.

I ordered my ~~new baby~~ Laptop! ♥ It's going to the spring green version of Dell's new Studio 15 line. :D I was originally going to get an Inspiron until I looked at the new laptops and it was heaven sent. ♥ The entire line was what I wanted without having to pay way more in upgrading like I was going to have to do with the other line. It's going to be a bit heavy (its starting weight is 6 lbs D:) but it'll be worth it, its going to be my new main computer and I'm used to hauling stuff that heavy because of my old practice in high school of having to have at least three different novels on me. XD;

I'm so happy I don't know what to do with myself. I wonder what I should name her/him? ♥_♥

Well.

I ordered books for the first time since December 2007 that weren't for school.

This makes me so unbelievably happy its ridiculous. I almost feel like crying, I miss books so much. I already know what my mom is going to say when she sees the Amazon box. 8D;;;
