If I join any organization my hope is to gain knowledge. Reading those words enrages me as a human being. My wish and hope is another human being NEVER has the need to write something as horrible as that to describe a real life event at the hands of another human being.

Much of this was pointless, as checks for valid FOID cards were already required for firearm purchases in IL, even for private (non-FFL) purchases. FOID card holders are electronically checked in the IL State background system every single day. This was basically legislation for the Governor to say, “I created some new gun legislation” rather than to do anything that will actually prevent illegal gun sales.
