Parking lottery for annual 2026/27 permits now open

The premium lottery runs until May 12 and the reserved lottery runs until May 29 on the TRU-Concord Parking portal. See the Parking Lottery page for timelines, terms and instructions.

Parking rate adjustment effective Sept. 1, 2026

Effective Sept. 1, 2026, parking rates at TRU will increase for daily, monthly, semester and yearly permits.

  • The adjustment reflects a 2.2 per cent increase based on the annual change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Moving forward, annual parking rate adjustments will be tied to the previous year’s CPI.
  • This adjustment supports parking lot maintenance and improvements, snow removal, sustainability initiatives and TRU’s financial health.
  • New rates will apply to all parking categories, including Visitor, Economy, General, Premium and Reserved parking.

We encourage students to review their parking needs in advance, especially before participating in the 2026/27 parking lottery which begins mid- to late April.

For full details on new rates and parking options, email parking@tru.ca or visit the Frequently Asked Questions web page.

Basketballs available to borrow at Old Main

  • 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • TRU ID required for sign-out and return
Occupancy sensors installed in some TRU buildings

TRU is installing privacy-focused occupancy sensors in several campus buildings to better understand how classrooms, study spaces and service areas are used throughout the day.

The sensors help the university plan and schedule spaces more effectively. They do not record audio or video and cannot identify individuals. The technology only produces anonymous estimates of how busy a space is.
