  • Scary Fast: 7 Advanced Hacks to Boost Your Productivity 1,000x (English Edition)

Scary Fast: 7 Advanced Hacks to Boost Your Productivity 1,000x (English Edition) Kindle-editie

4,2 van 5 sterren (46)

Scary Fast is like a 201 course in Productivity. It assumes that you've already taken a (metaphorical) Productivity 101 class (and passed?) and now you're ready to take things to the next level.

It covers the more 'advanced' stuff.

The stuff your mom didn't tell you about because she didn't know.

--

WARNING: You are either going to love or hate this book.

Scary Fast has now been read by thousands of people. And of those thousands, a portion have felt moved in their hearts to make a public comment on the value of said book. The response so far has been (appropriately) split about 80 / 20.

80% of readers are saying things like, and I quote:

"Valuable"

"Highly recommend!"

"couldn’t set it down"

"Fresh Ideas"

"POWERFUL!!!"

The other 20% of readers really, really, really don't like Scary Fast. Their comments include such gems as, (and again I quote):

"not really that practical"

"book is a complete waste of time"

(all quotes from public Amazon Reviews in the U.S., Canada, and U.K.)

--

Love it or hate it, Scary Fast will prompt some kind of reaction inside of you.

Where will you fall? You have about an 80% chance of loving this book and finding it useful. And if you'd like to land on the 'love' side, here is a few things to remember:

1. This book has a lot of stories in it. That's supposed to make it fun, despite the fact that:

2. This is a book about
ADVANCED productivity principles. Yes, there are 13 basics that are breezed over in the beginning as a helpful review, but the rest of it is going to be somewhat challenging, and either expand your mind or frustrate you (because your mind will reject them as useless, for personal reasons that I won't comment on).

3. And thirdly, or finally, it's only about 95% serious (which, honestly, is like 55% more serious than the other books I've written, so...perspective).

In the end I hope that you will love Scary Fast, but if not, I 100% understand and won't judge.

- Brian Michael Stegner (the guy who wrote this book)

And now, a word from some people who know me personally:

Brian's easily the most efficient person I've ever met…I’ve seen him solve problems with quick, creative solutions nearly as many times as I've seen him meditate on something for a couple of days and come back with a brilliant plan to optimize workflow. If anybody knows how to hack life and make it run smoother, it's Brian Stegner.

TOM ZALATNAI Executive Producer, UpfordNetwork.com

Brian has never, in my experience with him, failed to deliver exactly what was asked on-time and almost always much better than I asked. When you ask him how he does it, he simply smiles his bearded all-knowing smile. Here are some of his ninja secrets of executing quickly and efficiently.

DAVE LONG Continuous Improvement Manager in a Forbes Global 2000 Company

If you’re looking to move your business, non-profit, or life goals into warp-speed without burning out look no further! Brian has mastered the art of a productive life without the nasty side-effects. I have benefited from his life hacks for years and now, in his newest book, so can you.

ANDY STEIGER Founder & Director of Apologetics Canada; Author of Thinking?: Answering Life's Five Biggest Questions

If I think about it...I realize that most of the productivity skills I have developed over the last seven years have come as a result of Brian Stegner’s work…You would do well to devour this book and implement these principles into your life as fast as you can…

5,0 van 5 sterren Valuable, and to the point!

I started reading this book, not sure what to expect - there's a guy with a rocket on his back on the cover!
I ended up reading it through pretty quickly in one sitting. Brian has some excellent points on exponentially increasing your productivity. I enjoyed his real-life examples he gave, how he wove together the progression of increasing your productivity, and I even liked the math! 1000x?! Ya right! But, it adds up!
Brian does give some hefty warnings as the content is on the advanced side - I will be looking at some of his recommendations for where to start before taking on his principles. However, I'd recommend this to anyone desiring to be more productive in all aspects of life.

5,0 van 5 sterren Fresh ideas on productivity

I've read many productivity books, but this one actually stood out as Brian brought his own take based on his own experiments.
While some some of the principles he covers are not new, he then takes them to a new level and upgrades on ideas you've heard of before.

I found the book was a slow start to begin with, as he establishes how he started on this journey, but once he gets into the flow of practical ideas you can use it gets really good. Worth trying out this book if you want something fresh on the productivity field.

Fun & easy read, recommended! I've been implementing many of these productivity hacks in my daily activities and they really work! It might be tough to attain the ''stratospheric'' levels in real-life scenarios, but overall the tricks are applicable to my consulting business and investment work.

I would think of this as a big dunk into productivity. Quick & easy if you’re not looking for super detailed books such as Getting Things Done. The author covers to major principles of productivity that can help boost a lot of people or make them consciously realize what they are doing and how to take advantage of that.

5,0 van 5 sterren But it was great. After one day of reading

I'm one of those persons who felt guilty after reading the intro, thinking that it was probably too advanced. But it was great. After one day of reading, I have already applied the principles. I already see more productivity happening. Highly recommend!
