    Dit verhaal was heel mooi geschreven en je leefde gewoon mee met de hoofdpersonen. Hoofdpersonen die zo lang hebben moeten wachten op elkaar om dat ze ook bang waren dat hun relatie niet zou worden erkent voor wat het was. Een die maar weinig mensen mee maken in hun leven. Het verhaal van Reid en Ari. Ari die terug gaat naar huis en daar de brandweerman Reid ontmoet. Ze kennen elkaar al sinds hun jeugd. En toch is het nu zo anders. Was het altijd al anders. Maar soms zoeken we geluk op plaatsen waar we dit niet gaan vinden. Terwijl dit geluk vlak onder onze neus te vinden is. Mooi geschreven verhaal, je leeft direct mee met de mensen in deze stad en de kameraadschap van de brandweermannen.

    The blurb sets up Ari and Reid’s story very well, giving the reader the basics of the story with hints at the special details. Ari has been in love with Reid since he was 16. Now, at 22, he is back home after a breakup with his boyfriend, a man that broke his confidence in his talent and himself. Ari has known Reid since he was 6, trailing after him and his brother Sage, looking up to Reid as almost a father figure after his real one left. Reid has been there for all the important events in his life, checking up on him and giving him unwavering support. When Ari comes back home, all he wants is Reid, but Reid doesn’t feel the same — or does he?

    More angst on Reid’s side with the age gap and Sage being his best friend, but guys at the firehouse are supportive, teasing him but aware of his feelings. It takes awhile, and some communication on both parts, but they eventually figure it out and get to their HEA .

    I adore Ari and his snarky, smart comebacks, his unwavering devotion to Reid and desire for him to be his Daddy. Reid’s devotion to Ari was also unwavering, just neither realized it, although others around them could see something was going on. I had a couple of teary moments when Ari declared he loved Reid, and when Reid fulfilled one of Ari’s dreams in an unexpected way. These two were meant to be together, they just had to figure it out and forget preconceived ideas on what was appropriate for them. Side characters are great support and added to the threads of the story.

    The story kept me engaged, rooting for the two of them to figure things out and get together, finally. If you like age gaps and brother’s best friend stories, I think you would like this one, too.

    Ari is back home, his heart broken and his artistic talents crushed by an abusive ex. He’s also in love with Reid, older, friend of his brother and a man who sees Ari. I really enjoyed this story

    This story was a total gem! Reid and Ari were adorable together and I loved their Daddy / boy dynamic!

    I’ve been craving a sweet and fun Daddy kink romance, and Off-Limits Daddy certainly delivered. It was a low angst and cute story, and I really liked Ari and his brattiness. Reid was a somewhat grumpy Daddy, but he was super sweet and supportive of Ari. I loved their relationship development, and their back and forth had me smiling a lot.

    Off-Limits Daddy was a quick and very sweet read, and exactly the kind of Daddy / boy story that I've been looking for! I could easily have read more about Ari and Reid, and I definitely recommend this one for when you're in the mood for a bratty boy and his grumpy (yet surprisingly soft for his brat) Daddy.

    A sweet small town romance. You can tell how much Reid and Ari care about each other and their picnic in the field is so sweet. I could have wished for a little more external plot since a fair amount of the book is taken up by Reid’s “I want him but it would be *wrong* to date him” when we obviously know he’s going to give in, but the writing was good and the characters were well described.

    Brother's best friend, older man with a younger man. Slowly falling in love even tho Ari always had a crush on Reid.
    Ari was a boy that had lost his confidence in myself as a artist but Reid saw him and slowly brought him back to himself.
