    I really enjoyed this because it wasn't your traditional ghost book. I never knew about Indian ghost stories and it was a fascinating glimpse into India folklore and family culture. The book is less about frightening you and more about understanding Indian culture through its tales and its heroes and heroines.

    Real Ghost and Paranormal Stories From India by Shalu Sharma is the latest work by this prolific author, a worthy addition to her anthology. As we find in every society and culture, tales of the supernatural abound, and India proves no exception. Although the Hindu religion provides for belief in gods and demons, people still take exception to things that go bump in the night. Regardless if they are caused by bhoots (ghosts), churails (vampires) or pretas (the walking dead), Indians have a healthy fear of these nocturnal ghouls, and so will you. The book is well-written and informative as Sharma fans have come to expect, and the stories are written in the first-person narrative which draws readers even deeper into the spooky atmosphere. Pick up a copy of Real Ghost and Paranormal Stories From India by Shalu Sharma and you’ll end up sleeping with the light on for nights to come.

    Very good and simple language book.it is very interesting to read once u start reading u want to finish the book in one go.only one drawback i found tht this book is so small kindly increase more stories in the book..

    The stories in this this book are fascinating, original and heartfelt. The author really cares about the stories in this book and that makes them all the more convincing and interesting. I used to live in South Asia (in Nepal), and I spent many years studying the culture there, but the shadowy world of ghosts and other paranormal phenomena is something that I only heard about occasionally. As time passed, and my interest in the paranormal increased, I always wanted to learn more about this phenomenon, in the cultural context of India. Shalu Sharma's book allowed me to explore this topic. I enjoyed the book. However, I must also point out that there were some problems in it as well. There were a fair number of errors in usage in Real Ghost and Paranormal Stories from India. Also, I was puzzled by the lack of page numbers in the book. Why were they left out? Also, I felt that there should have been illustrations in the book. That would have made the stories more powerful. Overall, however, I really liked Real Ghost and Paranormal Stories from India.
