    It's no secret that I might be obsessed with this world.

    No spoilers, so don't you worry.

    I have followed this world from nearly the beginning and I have been incredibly lucky to not only be an ARC reader, but to have watched this world truly come to life.

    Readers are swept away from the first page. If anyone has read A Beloved Sin, then you know the juicy and insane cliffhanger from that book. If you were like me, you were knocking on the author's door asking when I might get a glimpse into the final installment, The Fallen.

    And here it is!

    This book does not disappoint. It is full of so many twists and turns, so many elements, and SO MUCH steam. Did I mention it is an ending fit for royalty? Seriously, I mean it. It's the kind of ending that makes you smirk, wag your finger, and know darn well what the author has in store. This world isn't done, it's only beginning, and Danielle makes sure everyone knows that.

    I seriously cannot wait for the next installment of this world. Danielle is a master weaver of love and relationships and it shows extraordinarily well. She knows how to reel a reader in and make them beg for it-- did I mention I actually FELT for the villain, Eurynomos? Well, maybe that's me... But he can have me.

    Do yourself a favor and read this series. This is the last of the series, so make sure to pick up Age Old Enemies AND A Beloved Sin if you want to get involved in this world. The prologue is The Prophecy.

    Leila, the female lead, met a horrible and shocking death in the last book. I wanted to know what would happen in the next book. Will grieves the loss of his mate and will do anything to avenge her murder. He goes up against Eurynomos with everything he has in his arsenal. I love how Will will risk everything out of love, even his own life. And I love his eyes on the book cover!

    Bianca finally breaks Eurynomos’ hold over her and can learn how to wield her powers. I’m glad to see Bianca take a bigger role in the book.

    The world continues to grow as we get introduced to new cities and settings. I recommend this book if you enjoy vampires, werewolves, and even elves fighting together against a demon.

    It's still too many POVs for my taste, but this was better than book 2. Love Blake's story and the dragons (no, they don't have POVs of their own. It would be great if they had. 😆 Yes, I'm contradicting myself here with the POV issues haha)

    The twist on Will's story was something I never expected. I both like and feel sad about his fate. I was happy for him, too. Ah, what a complicated feeling. Also, I wish I was at least informed of where Jane went. The poor girl.

    Anyway, overall this was a beautiful story. A beautiful ending for the trilogy.

    This was not a gentle ending. This was war, grief, rage, and sacrifice wrapped in magic and fate - and I felt every second of it.

    The Fallen delivers exactly what a final book in a dark paranormal series should: high stakes, emotional devastation, and characters pushed to their absolute breaking points. The world is unraveling, alliances are fragile, and the line between hero and monster becomes dangerously thin.

    Bianca’s arc was one of my favorite parts. Watching her step into her power while racing against time felt intense and earned. There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing a character carry both strength and vulnerability without losing either.

    But this book belongs to the grief-driven characters. Will’s pain? Suffocating. The kind of rage that makes you understand every terrible decision he’s willing to make. And Blake… that shift from warrior to something softer, only to fear having it ripped away by war? Yeah, that hurt.

    What I loved most is that this story doesn’t pretend victory comes without cost. It leans into the brutality of war and the weight of love lost. Not everyone walks away whole - and that’s what makes it feel real.

    If you’re looking for a clean, happy ending… this isn’t that.

    If you want something that wrecks you and leaves a mark - this delivers.
