I don't know if anyone else does this - posts ficlets in random posts and forgets them, until 2 years later when looking for something else - but I do. I do not-infrequently or perhaps it's better to say I did, as I don't write anymore (Shh MC6. That entire craziness never happened - it was all one weird, week-long dream) post random things in random places.

Still, I'd like it in one place (ie my LJ) no matter how long it's been. Random sidenote: I started a New Comm last week - for Revolution, that new show that started a little over a month ago about the power going out...I sorta...kinda...feelinlovewithit - COUGH moving on.

Sidenote: Has anyone seen The Avengers? I have seen it twice. Joss needs to make allllll the superhero movies from now on. ALL OF THEM. And why do I have to wait a year for Iron Man 3 - WHAT THE HELL UNIVERSE? UNFAIR. Everyone got screen time. EVERYONE. And... and I'm a bit in love with Loki (and his pointy hair), he's just so damn dry and sarcastic and GOSH stubborn (with an undercurrent of broken) ...where's Loki, the movie huh? WHERE. I watched Thor. Suffered really. So there needs to be a Loki-focused movie, written & directed by Joss to make up for that.

I need The Avengers on DVD. Like yesterday....sigh. Just go prompt and fict to cheer me up :P

(We're planning on Masterlisting everything, and I think it was my horrid idea. So I figured why not get my fillings and do part of the Masterlisting on the same day. 'Course the fillings only took 40 minutes. This took hours. Eventually it'll be transferred to ag_fics in some form...)

You know what, despite everything I'd forgotten something important: The reason LJ's (was?) so great is the people.

Those same people who feel just like us, upset and confused about the need to rob us of something so basic as subject lines, previews, the addition of a weird Anon Bag!head man, not to mention making us load ALL our damn icons when we KNOW what they're called every time we want to choose a Userpic... 

And from what I gather (seeing as most people are in their 20s or 30s) LJ's built on the wants and demands of Gen Y. And Gen Y doesn't take disrespect well...not to mention, we've grown up finding ways around things. It's second nature.

So I googled in hope (because Dreamwidth has someone who made a script so the default DW page would look all blue and white and LJ-y. SO MUCH AWESOMENESS) and found that HELL YES there are some small solutions right now, a handful of days after the release:

Author's notes: Written for the ever wonderful and patient mydoctortennant, who won our Prompt Table bet some 6 months ago - the prize being RPF...written by yours truly. Which is something I've never done alone (and it's scary), but who can go back on a bet? Hope you like it Jen. This wasn't something I knew I was going to write...I just did it, like my writer's block dissolved for a moment...and when it did I was eating candy floss and that inspired me. WARNING: I MAY BE HIGH ON SUGAR AND THIS COULD VERY WELL BE CRAP.
