NOT FINISHED but i figure you guys might want to see it anyway. Based off of "Lessons on Loving a Prophet" by Jeanann Verlee and that bakerstreet meme.

Genesis/Angeal, on Genesis' slow descent into ~~being a dick~~ madness and Angeal's blind devotion in trying to stop it.

One.
You know how this ends. There’s nothing you can do to change it, so make peace with it now. Ready your hands for the callus, shred the cloth for bandages, prepare the rosaries.

Genesis is a whirlwind and only does things in a fast manner, he always has; The way he talks, builds friendships out of his own selfish interests and sets his sights on those who do not give into him for seduction with his devil's smile. Genesis is a whirlwind and just like one, he takes, leaves and self destructs- Leaving for Angeal to pick up the pieces, of himself or of others.

He does so, every time.

Two.
When you meet him, outside the grocery, along the boardwalk, beneath the overpass, you will not know what he is. He will be neither be too charming nor too handsome, not thunder, not polish.

Angeal is ten the first time he notices Genesis- Ten and on the first day of the school year, on the same day the teacher looks at him with with a forced sympathetic smile and permission to excuse himself early from now on. Nobody expects much of a child of the poor, other than a strong will and a young burnout. Children like Genesis, on the other hand, ones like him who don't need to leave early to go work in the fields, aren't expected to stay in a small town with nothing much to offer.

Three.
The day you fall in love, his mouth will spill your name. He will repeat and repeat. He will not touch you. He will watch your hips, study whatever ample you have, will ask to watch you dance. When you turn to leave, he will use your name like a choke chain.

"Angeal." Genesis says, sly bent in blue eyes made brighter by the setting sun. He is the leader and Angeal the follower, he who sees their opportunity as one in which they can help others, SOLDIER's Third Class and rising. Now that they were firsts, it has been throw away again- His mother, dead. Genesis' own, buried.

And yet still he is here, the redhead at his back. Breath warm as it traces over his neck, feathers brushing along his arm. Angeal's eyes close in their dark room and his hands clench; Both of their eyes bluer, the shadows unable to hide anything from them any longer because of it."You may play, but you can never be mad at me."

And he can't, not even with this sickness, so the man swallows what was left of his pride once more, and focuses on finding a cure for his friend and lover.

Four.
He will call you miracle. Your face will unravel. This is his magic. When he begs you promise, say yes.

Angeal realizes that he is in love the moment he loses it; Realizes that his smile, given in the soft moments of his day before his lover woke up or has come down from that euphoric high has nothing to do with the fact he could never say no to him, that others would consider just indulgence; But in the way Genesis has done more than seduced him as he had everyone else, then ripped out his heart in death.

Five.
When he offers his lips, take them. Take his arms, his throat, take his toes when he offers. Gorge. Swallow everything whole. Gag. Vomit. Swallow more. Do not hesitate. No time for polite, or coy. Take.

Genesis is a fire and he burns brightly, a light that draws others to him, moths to the flame. Angeal can't resist, and finds himself never wanting to. Not when Genesis reaches for him and Angeal falls into the touch, touches himself, gives and gives and wants for more.

He had never been a man who covets, who wants; But Genesis' skin against his own, the way the other throws his head back and moans, is enough to drive the greed to give the other everything.

And afterward Genesis grins and laughs at him, running his fingers though Angeal's hair as if he were a good pet- As if his worship of body and flesh was acceptable.

Six.
When the minions call you whore, nod.

Genesis' parents stare daggers at him when their perfect, only son twines his arms over his shoulders from behind, continues their conversation in his dulcet laced tones with something more. He's taken away their chance at moving up in the world and Genesis revels in their anger, that he's only showing that he has chosen the man from Banora, when in reality he finds himself much more hedonistic then that.

It should of been his first clue that the other has something changing within him, that he wasn't the boy he fell in love with.

Seven.
He will tell you of the others. How they went crazy in their sleep awaiting his return. Do not flinch. Do not doubt your thickened fingertips. Stand upright. You promised.

Eight.
When you find him in his room, thrashing the sheets, pressing his palms into the walls, howling, his face a river… close the door. This is how he makes wine. Leave him in his sorcery.

Nine.
When he explains that he cannot love. That he will never be yours alone. When he tells how the meek, the gluttons, the tempted, the proud are his angels, do not mourn. Smile, feed him, wash his hair.

Ten.
He is a king among thieves. The leeches will hollow his skin, the crows reduce him to bones. His own heart will empty him. Allow for the bleed. Be ready with tourniquet and prayer.

Eleven.
In the dry burn of dawn, after the last of the lashes, the thorns and the spittle, when his limp body is laid at your feet, remember the night you loved him, the ember of his eyes and the way the words came like honey.

Twelve.
You were made for this.

"You are my perfect specimen!" Hollander shouts at him, paws uselessly at Angeal before the man shoves him off, before Zack in front of him can do it himself. He locks eyes with his student and they both know there is a change- A man once of honor and dreams now dying, already dead inside.

He had no will to live if he could not even save the one most important to him. So he won't.

’Zack do you remember our promise? That we'd fight against anything that torments this world.

I’ve become the torment. Zack, I'll show you.’

prompt: Angeal waiting in the lifestream for each friend.

Angeal watched. Angeal has watched for a very long time; He could watch and see and feel everything, if he so wished it, return to the planet to be reborn again as he was meant to be, but he was not ready yet.

Not yet.

There were others like this in the Lifestream, others who were not yet ready- Those who could not let go of their sense of self, those who may have not finished or achieved what they desired most- But for Angeal, he was not ready because he was waiting, waiting for those he had left behind to come and join him.

Zack had been first- His poor, brave hero to the very end student that had been brought to this point due to the fault of others, of Angeal's own choices included. He had reached down to bring him up, to pull him into a safe embrace and away from all of the pain and hurt. It was short and it was over, and he would never have to feel that again- The burden of a hero passed on to others.

Angeal promises to watch over the new wielder of the Buster as closely as Zack would.

Others come during this time as well- Many, even more so with the plate falling and Meteor looming overhead. Angeal gives them his time, listens to them and helps them though, lets them pass and watches the world end beneath and above him. The lifestream is everywhere, Angeal can be everywhere.

Sephiroth moves though the lifestream as well, or what was once Sephiroth. It never comes near him, and Angeal keeps his distance. There is nothing he can do while the Monster has a hold on the man.

While Genesis sleeps Angeal watches over him- When he wakes, in a world much different than what he had left, his friend is still the same. Eveantually his time comes to him naturally, a gift from his Goddess indeed; His soul leaves his old body and greets Angeal as if he were new again, as if they had never fought that fateful night in the training room.

Angeal buries his face against red hair as his arms envelop the man, so he cannot see how wet his eyes are.

Then they both wait, after that- Wait watch, the world rebuilding itself as it always has, resilient even in the face of man. The darkness is cut out of the lifestream bit by bit, with each unsuccessful attempt and with each person that starts forgetting the name.

Until finally the only ones that do remember, no longer have a place on Gaia.

It is then Angeal can see Sephiroth in the midst of blackness, silver in the darkness shining brighter and brighter. The time comes, Zack and Genesis are beside him when he pulls the man out, breaking the friend he had always known was there from the madness that had taken over him. She does not let him go easily, but neither do they, and Jenova's hold is finally weak enough that Sephiroth- the man who they had known as their friend, who had emotions just like the rest of them, had been shown how to show them by the other three- was finally with them again.

They don't wait to take turns to pull him in. All three of them stay close as he who was once oppressed and made weak by madness regains his strength again. Angeal may not have a physical body, may not have a beating heart but his still leaps with joy when Sephiroth opens his eyes and calls him by name.

Then, they can go. Go to the afterlife where they belong.

So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

One more push- She charges in with reckless regard to the blade, catching it between the prongs of her shuriken when Sephiroth counters and driving both weapons to the ground, Masamune trapped between them. It is as far as she gets, the other retaliating quickly with the strength he had kept back for her sake, and the girl is knocked into the far wall a moment later, stunned briefly but standing after shaking it out. Nothing again, but the point still stands, made that very day against someone much stronger than her.

You don't know why you care so much.

How long have you been here, at this window? Looking out, out it seems past the city itself, into the wastelands which only held death and ruin. You have heard stories that it had not always been like that, that before this structure came to be it was a fertile land. But time and resources have drained it, drained the once small town of prosperity and turned it into slums, hidden from the slums by a metal and steel edifice that towered over it.

ShinRa gives, ShinRa takes. It's been a reoccurring theme in your life for as long as you can remember.

"Damn it." Snarled out, the voice is so raw with emotion you almost don't recognize it as your own. Your hand on the glass, palm stinging and you are not quite sure when you had hit it; Not fast enough, not strong enough to have an effect on its state, This also seems to be a reoccurring theme. Your teeth are clenched, holding back everything else that might want to come out. The bottle that holds your emotions has shattered, the only glass that you can't seem to keep in one piece.

Fucking windows. You don't need life lessons from them too.

You are not sure how long he has been there, or when you became aware that he actually was. Maybe you were not until this moment, maybe you had been all along. He has always been some sort of ghost in your life, unreachable, untouchable, even when you were touching him and making sure he damn well knew it. "It shouldn't of ended like this." Everything about this was normal, except that you broke the rules and fell in love.

Your kind are humans trying to live the life without emotions, and you failed that miserably. You all have at some point, be it with your own partner or a outside presence in your life or even the man held in so high a regard. He is gone too, he made the same mistakes that you had. Only he was not as lucky in not getting caught.

"...I can't do this, Tseng." At some point you have become tired, tired of everything surrounding you and tired in mind and body as well. Your head bowed as you sunk to the floor but stayed on your feet; Kneel for nobody, not even your guilty-hashing ghosts. "It's just one thing after another, I'm so tired of it."

A minute passes by, then another and another. You have gone back to staring at nothing, riding the raging sea of emotions and trying not to let them get the better of you. Too late for that. "Get up." He says, and you realize he is behind you, a hand coming down onto your shoulder. "Get up and keep going, Cissnei. That is an order."

You are not allowed to give up, you never have been. Despite the rain, the cold, and the fact that you are a mess, there is an anchor you can hold on to to keep focus on. It will not change the fact that you have lost him, or that you have lost him, but for the next ten minutes, the next few hours. Maybe, it is enough.

"Yes sir." You hear yourself say faintly, and that hand briefly tightens on your shoulder before releasing to let you stand. He trusts you to keep your word, to keep going.

And maybe one day you would trust yourself of the same, too.

The concept of their 'belonging' is something others had a hard time understanding. Property, ownership, possessing something so fully that without one another they do not function as they should.

Yazoo breaths.

In some ways they are equal - possessing brief flashes of not-their memories and skills that were never truly were theirs but another's, yet allowed them to slide together as one piece as mind bodies and fighters.

Kadaj hisses.

In other ways they are not. One is more driven, intent on chasing and possessing a love he only phantom having a knowledge about. The other could care less either way, but provides the steps necessary to make it happen. The third still holds a childlike wonder about the world, about everything, about the games they play.

Loz bares his teeth.

"You're not allowed," The youngest snarls, the reason for the break in his voice not because of his age but the teeth at his throat, the hands on his body. He can keep track of what belongs to who for a little while, but it starts to fade into a mess of touchfeelnghthere that spreads though them. "To belong to anyone else. You're mine."

Ownership, belonging. The rules apply except when they don't, when he wants to break them. Possessive hands rake harsh red lines down his brother's thighs, and Loz hisses at the treatment and moans as another kisses the pain away. They are disjointed but perfect, working for and against one another. They work themselves up into something just past the point of desperate fueled by one another - The easy seductive sureness of Yazoo that guides the impatient and direct movements of Kadaj to bring the eager but unsure movements of Loz steady, until they slide together like they do in battle.

The barriers of separated minds and bodies, for the moment, do not exist.

And even when it unravels, even when they unravel when they can't take it anymore, those bonds do not. Not even the one who abhors touch would dare to pull away from something so intense as coming to know each other the best they can, even if the others would let him. In the end it serves to remind them that they are there and the best they can.

In the end, they will always be brothers.
