Levi\/Levites. <\/strong>The third son of Jacob (Israel) and Leah (Genesis 32:23). From his line came Aaron and the Jewish priests. Only those who belonged to this tribe were allowed to hold the priesthood. Mormonism, on the other hand, teaches that its male members can be both Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthood holders as long as they are worthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
