To sit beneath that fading black A long and starless night High above that hidden world A lost and secret place Awaiting now a golden glow That purple haze of dawn The blue above Darkness below That sweeping world Rock and stone Ancient trees from which birds sing The secret call of wind and stream Awaken to this world Awaken to what is Turn away from what is not What will not be, what never was All things now find their truest form True shape beneath new light When memory is swept away True sight is all that can remain Oh breathing, glowing world of life Oh spirit come, cast away this night

Loved this one, especially the call to action of awakening. Was that a Platonic (or is it Aristotlean? I had little patience for philospophy, sadly) idea toward the end?
I liked your choice of starless night next to black. It stopped me for a moment, trying to imagine a black cloudless night without stars - actually quite hard for me to do. Which made me think if there’s anywhere in our universe where you can see a clear perfectly dark starless night. And I thought of my eyes opening from a dreamless night.
