Twice lately I\u2019ve gotten to the airport within a few minutes of missing my flight.<\/p>\n

Somehow I made it.<\/p>\n

The trick, I\u2019ve learned, is to be kind and patient. (Or get there earlier)<\/p>\n

One of the simpler problems to solve in life, I think. <\/p>\n

So I\u2019m going to get back to my usual practice of getting to the airport 2 hours early. Is it a waste of time? From one perspective. <\/p>\n

But it\u2019s a sanity saver, that\u2019s for sure.<\/p>\n

Also in this category of easy things to fix that I’d like to replace in my routine altogether:<\/p>\n

Being 5 minutes late to things. Super dumb. I’d like to be 15 early from now on. Simple change, huge returns.<\/p>\n

Driving fast. Or Driving at all.<\/p>\n

Waiting longer to reply to an email than a text message.<\/p>\n

Being the one to step up and be decisive in a group. Having preferences about group activities, being able to lead and host nights out and events.<\/p>\n

As of this moment I’m making it official: these are all things I’m working to change.<\/p>\n
