I'm producing stock for the yearly December art show. This year, I'll be making photos with clocks mounted in them. If you have issues with graphic heavy pages, you might want to skip this post.

Every thumbnail in this post is linked to a 1024x768 pixel image if you want to take a closer look.

Do please offer me an opinion on which are the strongest images. I'm looking on putting 4 of the first 8 into the show. I'm so deeply into this project that I'm beginning to loose all perspective on which might be the best images. I have reviewed, albeit fleetingly, 10 years worth of images today.

Chihuly Onion, 8x10 inches, from the Missouri Botanical Garden

Chihuly Tentacle, 8x10 inches, from the Missouri Botanical Garden
>

Kwan Yin, 8x10 inches, from the Pagan Picnic

Public Goddess, 8x10 inches, from the Laumeier Sculpture Park

Running Man, 8x10 inches, from downtown Clayton

Sphinx, 7x8 inches, from the Calvary cemetery

Sunflower, 8x10 inches, from Lumbar Achers north of St Louis

Art Museum, 8x10 inches, from the St Louis Art Museum

I'm less sanguine about the following.
Pumpkin Sausage Spinach Pasta

I made dinner last night using this recipe. With some advice from Kiwi, I used beef broth instead of chicken, frozen spinach, and deleted the salt. Adjusting to taste just about tripled the pepper. It was very tasty! It's been a while since I cooked purely for fun.

PASTA WITH PUMPKIN, SAUSAGE AND SPINACH
from Green Lite Bites

1 small onion chopped
3 cloves of garlic diced
1 package of mild Italian sausage
1 15oz can of chicken broth
1 15oz can of pumpkin
1/4 cup of non fat greek yogurt
1 tsp ground sage
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
8 oz whole wheat fusilli pasta
About 1/3 of a bag of fresh baby spinach leaves

Cook the pasta according to the package directions.

While waiting for the the water to boil, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Spray it with non-stick spray and brown the sausage with the onion and garlic. Once brown, add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Lower to medium and add the pumpkin, yogurt, sage, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Stir to combine everything. Keep on medium until the sauce begins to boil again then lower to a simmer.

By this time the pasta should be done. Drain and add to the skillet with the pumpkin and sausage. Stir to coat and combine everything. Add the spinach and stir in until it wilts.

Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan.

"The life of each human being begins at conception," according to Senate Bill 793, which adds new regulations to the state's 24-hour informed consent law for abortions. "Abortion will terminate the life of a separate, unique, living human being."

The bill makes Missouri the second state to adopt such language after a similar provision became law in South Dakota in 2005, and then survived a legal challenge in federal court in 2008.

Source

According to my professional training, after the egg and sperm are joined it descends to the uterus. Once there, attachment to the uterine wall is a 50/50 shot. That means, according to normal human biology, 50% of all conceived human life is spontaneously and naturally aborted.
