BEWARE: I am running Version 1 and this month i deleted the transactions for the month of December(only). In doing so all my transactions since 2012 have disappeared. I used time machine and launched a backup version prior to the deletion date but still no transactions. The reply I got from Moneywell: "Unfortunately, we only took over MoneyWell at the start of 2019, we don't have any working copies of MoneyWell 1 and don't believe it works on any recent versions of macOS, so we aren't able to offer any kind of insight into what might have happened." VERY unfortunate.

I love the app - one of the best and have used for years (Since v.1)
However - the latest versions no longer support cloud sync do to Dropbox changing methods. So I can't use it anymore and am trying to find a replacement.

This is the best app for budgeting and keeping track of spending that I've found for Mac. I find it indispensable. Once you understand how its budgeting features work, it makes making a spending plan, monitoring spending and staying within a budget extremely easy. I have not found another Mac finance app that works so well in this regard.
I've also never had problems with the app quitting unexpectedly or experienced any major bugs.
I have a few criticisms, though: development is slow and the website for the app got rid of the forums which used to be helpful. But I'm still giving it five stars because I think it's the best app for Mac for personal finance.

I purchased MW1 back in 2009 and used it until a few weeks ago when I had to upgrade due to running Sierra. I installed MW3 and had issues. It took about a week but Kevin started emailing me and did so often until my questions were answered and things were fixed. I remembered from 2009 when I had initial questions how Kevin wrote me then too. It seems this APP is supported by the creator himself, Kevin, and I appreciate the personal contact. I guess with it being just him answering emails it can take a while to hear back, but the 1st rate support once it begins is nice. Everything is working fine now. Thanks Kevin.

Completely flaky. When you create a new statement to reconcile, it keeps setting the date at Dec. 31; you have to quit the app and go back in to set the real date. Budgeting is completely counter-intuitive. No tutorials. No response to questions. I REALLY want to migrate to something else.... anything.... but am afraid of losing data.
