Welcome to Moneytrees. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Moneytrees website, apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important: Moneytrees helps you organize invoices, expenses, and related financial records. Moneytrees is not a bank, accounting firm, tax advisor, legal advisor, or payment institution.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by Pixel Perfect BV ("Moneytrees", "we", "us", "our"), with registered address at Eyckensbeekstraat 12, 9150 Beveren-Kruibeke-Zwijndrecht, Belgium.

2. Eligibility and account registration

You may use the Service only if:

  • you can form a legally binding contract;
  • you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction);
  • the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
  • all activities under your account;
  • promptly notifying us of unauthorized access.

You must not share your account in a way that violates your subscription plan.

3. What the Service does

Moneytrees provides tools to:

  • create, send, and manage invoices;
  • track expenses and uploaded receipts/documents;
  • manage customer, vendor, and transaction-related information;
  • view summaries, reports, and insights based on your data.

Some features may depend on third-party services or integrations.

4. Subscription, billing, and taxes

Some parts of the Service require a paid subscription.

  • Pricing, billing cycle, and included features are shown at purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.
  • You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge applicable fees and taxes.
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis, taking into account applicable law and the circumstances of your subscription.
  • You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or government charges associated with your use of the Service.

If payment fails, we may suspend or limit access until payment is resolved.

5. Your data and content

"Your Content" means data and materials you submit to the Service, including invoices, expenses, receipts, customer records, notes, and attachments.

You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to:

  • operate and maintain the Service;
  • provide requested features;
  • improve security, reliability, and performance;
  • comply with legal obligations.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit and use Your Content with the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activity;
  • upload malware or interfere with system integrity or security;
  • access or attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service beyond allowed use;
  • use the Service to send spam or infringe third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Financial, accounting, and tax disclaimer

Moneytrees provides software tools and general information only. Nothing in the Service is professional accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

You are solely responsible for:

  • the accuracy and legality of your invoices, expense records, and tax treatment;
  • filings, declarations, and compliance obligations;
  • decisions made based on reports, summaries, or calculations in the Service.

When in doubt, consult a qualified advisor.

8. Third-party services and integrations

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party products (for example, payment providers, cloud storage, banks, or analytics tools). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services, content, or practices.

9. Service availability and changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service from time to time.

While we aim for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Temporary downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or causes beyond our control.

10. Data export and deletion

You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us or using in-app controls (if available).

After cancellation or termination:

  • your access may be restricted or disabled;
  • we may retain certain data as required by law, for legitimate business purposes, or as described in our Privacy Policy.

Where technically possible, we may offer export tools for your data.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, logos, and content we provide, is protected by intellectual property laws and remains our property (or that of our licensors).

Except as expressly permitted, these Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property.

12. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use and incorporate them without restriction or compensation.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moneytrees and its directors, employees, affiliates, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moneytrees from claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • your use of the Service;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if:

  • you materially breach these Terms;
  • required by law;
  • necessary to protect the Service, users, or our legitimate interests.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Sections that by nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related terms) will survive.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, excluding conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice).

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
  • We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
