I know there aren't many of you, but there are a a few.

A friend of a friend passed this along to me - please, if this is something that you support, get off your rumpuses, pick up the phone, and make the call:

New York Governor David Paterson has opened a phone line to determine how much public support there is for his directive to recognize same-sex marriages authorized and performed in other states and countries. The call is simple and takes about 5 seconds.

Call: 1-518-474-8390

Here's what happens:

Person on the Other End of the Phone: "Executive Chamber, may I help you?"

You: "I want to voice my support for Governor Paterson's same-sex marriage directive."

POTOEOTP: "OK, what's your zip code?"

You: "11576 (or whatever it is)."

POTOEOTP: "OK, thanks, goodbye."

Please share this information with other sympathetic New York State residents.

Writer's Block: What? No Goodnight Kiss?

So this was, obviously, before I met my hubby. I answered a personal ad. I was trying something new, and trying to not meet someone online for once, but yet, I still answered a personal ad. From a newspaper. He called himself a Jewish Teddy Bear. I guess I couldn't resist.

So we talked on the phone, and he said that he couldn't understand it. In the past, he's set up dates, and the dates haven't even shown up. I assured him that I would show up, and we arranged to meet at a local Diner.

Well, I pulled up to the diner, and he was standing outside. And I got this overall... bad feeling. Like, almost pulled the car in reverse and left kind of bad feeling. But I didn't. Because I promised the guy that I would show up.

So I took a deep breath and I headed inside. We had mediocre conversation, with the end of the meal being us going dutch. That actually was fine with me - because it meant he wouldn't be looking for something afterwards, if you know what I mean.

I left the diner, and went home to take a shower. The guy was just -skeevy-.

Anyway - he calls me later that night. And says that he really doesn't want to date me, but he would love to have me be a sex buddy. Was I interested?

Uhm, no.

But he kept calling and asking me on dates. And calling and asking me on dates. Finally, I agreed to meet him at a local bowling alley. Where we just "happened" to run into a group of my friends. What a coincidence!

He never called me again.

It's Third Watch Picspam Day!

Behind a cut tag, for those who do not want to share in the glory that is the first season episode, Ohio!

So, the episode opens showing the kitchen of a hotel, where the senatorial debates are taking place between Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guiliani.

"if I had a girl and she was mine, I'd paint her ass with Iodine. And on this ass I'd hang a sign, keep off this ass, this ass is mine!" A little love ditty that Bosco's father used to sing to him.

Faith is not impressed.

Bosco wants the sports section of Faith's paper. Faith says no.

"Yokas. Give me the sports page."

"I like to be the first one to read it. I don't like it when it gets all crumbly."

Bosco is not impressed.

No food for Bosco!

Then, the political debates began. Not only up on stage, but in the kitchen as well. They went something like this:

Hillary.

Sigh. Hillary.

Enter 55 Charlie. Ty plans on passing what he perceives as a boring day by listening to his "tunes".

You call those tunes? Ty argues that it's poetry. Sully states that rap is not poetry. That he digs poetry.

You Dig Poetry?

Yo! Salt and Pepper's in the house!

You get to go inside?

"Some folks get ALL the breaks."

My paycheck's been garnished!

Huh?

1. Who was your best friend? Sean, Nataly and Rich were my best friends. Sean is the only one I keep in touch with.

2. What sports did you play? Didn't play a sport - but was in Marching Band for 4 years.

3. What kind of car did you drive? I drove a 1984 Dodge 600 ES convertible.

4. Its Friday night, where were you at? Probably with the marching band at the high school football game. Afterwards, we were probably at Denny's or The Diner. The Diner wasn't a particular place - it was whatever Diner was nearbye - usually the Seville.

5. Were you a party animal? Not at all

6. Were you considered a flirt? Not really.

7. Ever skip school? Only on Senior Cut Day.

8. Ever smoke? Nope.

9. Were you a nerd? Nope - but I hung out with them.

10. Did you get suspended/expelled? Nope

11. Can you sing the Alma Mater? We didn't have one.

12. Who was your favorite teacher? A tie between: Mr. Grace. My art teacher. He passed away recently. May he rest in peace. I also -really- liked Mr. Narcisi. He made me love history.

13. Favorite class? My senior year of history.

14. What was your school's full name? Madison Central High School

15. School mascot? Spartans

16. Did you go to the Prom? Sure 'nuff did!

17. If you could go back and do it over, would you? I would pretty happily live over Senior Year, I think. Just none of the years before then.

18. What do you remember most about graduation? I got to walk for graduation. Since I was in a leg brace for the last 8 weeks of my senior year, the school wasn't going to let me walk, and they were going to have me receive my diploma from the stage. I not only walked for graduation, but I wore heels. My mother cried. :)

19. Favorite memory of your senior year? We had off on a Wednesday during Easter Break. Sean, Rich and I took the train into Manhattan, and we hit every single Church and Synagogue in the city. I walked down the street with them hand in hand in hand. I felt so carefree.

20. Were you ever posted up on the senior wall? If I knew what a senior wall -was-...

21. Did you have a job your senior year? I worked as an aide for an orgainzation called "Camp Robin", which was working with developmently disabled children on the weekends. It was very fulfilling.

22. Who did you date? Oh boy. Rob my Sophomore Year. Greg and Michael my junior year (but since they were younger than me, I never publically admited it. I was such a bitch...). My senior year, i dated Chris for the beginning of it, but then dated Rich for the remainder of it. Rich and I broke up when he told me that he had met someone while at orientation in college that he wanted to date - and then the following day asked out another friend of mine. Yeah. Real nice guy. ;)

23. Where did you go most often for lunch? My first 3 years, the cafeteria. My senior year, Burger King.

24. Have you gained weight since then? Yup. But only 50 pounds. I know of people who have gained a lot more. and I will -eventually- take it all off. I will.

25. What did you do after graduation? First stop - William Paterson College. Second Stop: Douglass College/Rutgers University where i majored in History.

26. When did you graduate? June 18, 1990. 16 years ago. Where does time go?
