Writer's Block: What? No Goodnight Kiss?

So this was, obviously, before I met my hubby. I answered a personal ad. I was trying something new, and trying to not meet someone online for once, but yet, I still answered a personal ad. From a newspaper. He called himself a Jewish Teddy Bear. I guess I couldn't resist.

So we talked on the phone, and he said that he couldn't understand it. In the past, he's set up dates, and the dates haven't even shown up. I assured him that I would show up, and we arranged to meet at a local Diner.

Well, I pulled up to the diner, and he was standing outside. And I got this overall... bad feeling. Like, almost pulled the car in reverse and left kind of bad feeling. But I didn't. Because I promised the guy that I would show up.

So I took a deep breath and I headed inside. We had mediocre conversation, with the end of the meal being us going dutch. That actually was fine with me - because it meant he wouldn't be looking for something afterwards, if you know what I mean.

I left the diner, and went home to take a shower. The guy was just -skeevy-.

Anyway - he calls me later that night. And says that he really doesn't want to date me, but he would love to have me be a sex buddy. Was I interested?

Uhm, no.

But he kept calling and asking me on dates. And calling and asking me on dates. Finally, I agreed to meet him at a local bowling alley. Where we just "happened" to run into a group of my friends. What a coincidence!

He never called me again.
