Overview
The Directorate of Financial Management Systems and Technologies is mandated to provide and maintain reliable, efficient and effective management of ICT infrastructure, software and services for Public Financial Management Systems and related technologies in a user friendly and inclusive manner for and on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
Core functions of the DFMST
- Develop and maintain ICT Policy and operational procedures for the MoF.
- Scenario plan and advice the Leadership and management of the MoF on ICTs, and how they can be used to achieve the organizational goals.
- Provide technical support to mission critical systems (IFMIS, CSDRMS, etc.)
- Develop and maintain ICT platforms that support MoF operations
- Provide technical support and advise on the procurement of all ICT hardware and software.
- Data and Information Management
- Information Security
- Business Continuity and Disaster recovery
- Systems analysis and application development.
- Supervise the implementation of capital ICT capital projects for the Ministry.
- Provide technical support to end-users in all Departments and Units.
- Carry out preventive and curative maintenance of all hardware, software, LAN and WAN.
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders on ICT related project for and on behalf of MoF
