With Pro Site Core, your site is fast, secure, and well configured—but issues are typically discovered after they occur. With Pro Site Plus, we actively monitor your site 24/7 and begin investigating problems early—often before users notice—during US and EU business hours.

What type of website works well with Pro Sites?

What's included in the white-glove migration?

We move your site from your current host—or from another MODX Cloud account—into your own Pro Site account.

Our team handles the technical migration, coordinates DNS updates (with access), and includes a site tune-up to ensure your MODX installation is current, optimized, and ready to perform.

There may be a brief content freeze during migration. Sites with active user-generated content or e-commerce may require additional coordination.

What does the site tune-up include?

During onboarding, we review and optimize your MODX configuration using best practices for speed, security, and scalability.

This typically includes:

• Updating MODX and Extras as needed
• Reviewing and optimizing configuration settings
• Ensuring your site is fully set up to take advantage of Pro Site features like Cloud Edge and Backstage

If we identify larger structural issues (SEO, accessibility, performance, or usability) that require more extensive work, we'll flag them and provide options after migration (using your amazing new Backstage staging workflow!).

How does proactive outage resolution work?

We continuously monitor your site's uptime across multiple regions.

When an outage is confirmed, our systems automatically open a support ticket with diagnostic details and alert the MODX Cloud team for investigation and resolution—based on your plan's coverage.

Some issues, such as DNS changes, office firewalls, third-party APIs, or external services, may be outside our control. In those cases, we'll guide you on the next steps and who to contact.

Are there limits on the email service provider (ESP)?

The included ESP is designed for reliable transactional email delivery—such as form notifications, password resets, and system messages.

The base allowance is 2,000 emails per month, which covers the vast majority of marketing sites. This is a soft limit; we don't block sends unless usage is consistently excessive. Higher sending tiers are available if needed.

Can my agency access and manage my Pro Site?

Yes. You have full control over who can access your account.

You can grant Manager or User roles at any time. If you're migrating from an agency-managed site, they can request access during the transfer, which you can approve.

Is moving from my agency's account to one we own right for me?

Owning your Pro Site gives you full financial control, access, and long-term ownership of one of your most important digital assets.

Pro Sites remove the need to piece together add-ons or worry about infrastructure—and give you direct access to an expert support team focused on your success.

How does the 60-day money-back guarantee work?

If you're not satisfied within 60 days, we'll make it right or refund your payment—no questions asked.

We can either move your site back to its previous host in its original state or help transition you to a standard MODX Cloud plan if that's a better fit. There's no risk in trying Pro Sites.
