Gate - Medieval Map
Second map in Medieval Saga by Tatu Eugen under construction, progress, and details.
The Medieval Saga continues with its second chapter: The Gate
Set around the massive entrance of a fortified stronghold, this map expands the battlefield beyond the walls, introducing a more open yet strategically layered layout.
Gate features a classic competitive design with two bombsites (A and B) and a central Mid area that directly connects to Bombsite B, while also providing access to Long A. Each side of the map is anchored by the Terrorist base and Counter-Terrorist base, positioned at opposite ends, creating a clear and balanced flow.
Both teams are given secondary routes toward the bombsites, allowing for flexible strategies and fast rotations:
- Counter-Terrorists have a more direct path toward A Site, enabling quicker defensive setups
- Terrorists can access B Site more directly, supporting aggressive executions
Bombsite B is larger in scale, offering more space for engagements, but includes additional cover for CT players coming from the CT side, making retakes and defenses more structured.
In contrast, Bombsite A features an extended Long area, providing two entry points into the site as well as a direct connection to Mid, though this route is more exposed and typically controlled by the CT side.
With its mix of open approaches, controlled chokepoints, and strong rotational options.

- TS can now hold exit of B to Mid (anti CT rush from B)

- New textures created
- New plan for CT base
- River tunnel added between long and mid (A)
- River upper extended from mid stairs
- River long stairs added for more TS advantage
TS will control mid area and river, with a risk of course. In other hands.. CT will control bombsites and all important point to enter in each site. Mid to A -> super fast rotation, CT Base -> Easy rotation.
6 April 2026
- New mid hold areas
- Added hold stairs in A for MID HOLD
- Larger area for LONG
- New area for TS close to mid
- New textures created (still need more textures)
- All walls and building created
I find it difficult to find textures that fit well, so i need to create new ones until i get the right result.
Progress is now at 55%. All walls and buildings are finished, but i still need to work on textures, optimization, testing, visuals, and map details.

- Almost done all walls with textures
- Bombsites done
- New gate can be open by button on mid-river to bombsite B
- Few new details added
- New bombsite B window/wall access with broken arcade
- New models added
- One new sound effect added
- More textures was created for better visual

- Finished all skybox
