The toolbox is connected with the bus controller over an Ethernet network. The PC on which the ModbusTCP toolbox is running must have network access (e.g. Intranet) to the controller that should be managed (or to several controllers at the same time). The most simple constellation is a direct connection between the PC and the bus controller using a patch cable. The default subnet mask for the controller is 255.255.255.0 (Class C network), so the first 3 octets of the IP address (Net ID) for the PC must match the address of the bus controller.
