Micromobility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since bike sharing was introduced into the US market in 2010, micromobility services have evolved into electric bikes and electric scooters as well. These options have provided solutions to urban congestion while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.\u00a0 Mobility Development has facilitated, researched, piloted, deployed and operated micromobility options in multiple cities across the country.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Carshare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carsharing is an efficient way to share or borrow a vehicle. The founders of Mobility Development pioneered carsharing for low-income communities with Buffalo CarShare, which led us to work with the City of LA to design the 100% electric BlueLA. With community partners, we’ve also recently launched Miocar, an EV carshare for California’s rural San Joaquin Valley.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer Transportation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer transportation networks aren’t new, but they are quietly a very effective shared transportation option.  Volunteer transportation programs are targeted to serve mobility-challenged populations like older adults and people with disabilities most often in very rural parts of the country.  Mobility Development is working to integrate operations and technologies in these systems so that they can be more energy-efficient and impactful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rideshare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ridesharing can be any type of shared ride including taxi cabs, TNCs, or even carpooling.  In the last decade, transportation network companies have changed our transportation landscape profoundly.  Mobility Development can help communities utilize these services to improve mobility for their residents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
