Grey lines at the top and bottom of the layout

Hello!
I'm having trouble when I want to try applying a new layout. There are two problems:
1. There is a grey line just below my navigation strip. If I delete my navigation strip, there'll be a long grey box.

2. There is another grey box at the footer, that is clashing with the layout at the bottom.

Can anyone help me fix this, please? Thanks in advance!
