Writer's Block: Multiple Personalities

<lj-template name="qotd" lang="en_LJ">
In my life, I've known several women diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder. I've also done a lot of reading on the giant debate as to whether such a condition even exists, which seems pretty ludicrous once you've watched someone shift in front of you, but my opinion doesn't count because I don't have a doctorate. I don't even remember learning about DID as a child because it was such a huge part of my life, in a very matter-of-fact way. But whatever, I throw all this in because I want to at least acknowledge others' skepticism. And to say that I think we can all agree, wherever you fall on that question (that 99% of people have neither the professional training nor the life experience to have an opinion about, but you know what they say about opinions), it's all pretty heavy stuff.

So yeah, this question on the front page was a great big "LOL, we suck" from livejournal first thing in the morning. Hi, guys! I guess your two personalities are the one that's all concerned about social issues with charity v-gifts and then the other one that makes really weak jokes about mental health.

Writer's Block: I wanna be just like you

<lj-template name="qotd" lang="en_LJ">

Private Michael J. Caboose. :)

He's so endlessly positive, and honest, and finds so much joy in even the worst of times. I know that it's supposed to be because he's simple, but whatever the reason, he's the happiest of everyone.

"True joy doesn't come from anywhere. Nothing brings you joy. No person brings you joy. You yourself are joyful always. So enjoy that. That's what you call enjoyment. Depend on nothing, because nothing from outside can make you joyful." ---Sri Swami Satchindananda

"I have so many achevables!" ---Caboose ♥
