Amigurumi and hats :D
A few weeks ago, my mom told me, "we need to find you a new hobby."
So we opened Wikipedia, probably the "hobbies" entry, or something like that. I saw a japanese-looking word - "amigurumi".
I clicked, and fell in love.
So I grabbed some yarn and one of the thicker crochet hooks that my mom has (she's been crocheting more or less since I was born, probably longer), and tried.
This was my first project:

And then I did all of these:

Then my friend gave birth to her baby boy, and I decided to make him a teddy-bear hat. It turned out waaaay too cute, and besides, it was my first hat, so I decided to keep it and do another one.
So here's the bear hat:

And here's the frog hat (and the baby):

And here's the hat I made for my friend:

Right now I'm trying to make my own amigurumi. So far, I made a legless horse (the legs were driving me nuts. I made the head too big and I need to make the legs very big to support the weight and keep the horse upright) and a small red ball which I'm planning on attaching ears and stitching a face on it. So I'll see how that goes.
