Holiday Wishlist!
I've seen a lot of people doing this, so I might as well see if anything comes of it. :)
The Guidelines:
1. Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from something simple and fandom-related to something really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
2. Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.
3. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
The Wishlist
1. For this world to cool down a little bit. It's getting pretty scary out there, and I'd love for 2011 to pass in relative peace. I know we can't do much about this ourselves, but hopefully we can all just treat our fellow citizens of Earth well and hope it spreads.
2. A joooooooooooob. :( I have a part-time gig as a substitute now, and I know it's a lot more than many people, but I'm searching for a full-time teaching gig in 2011, and good vibes would be much appreciated. :)
3. Good vibes for my upcoming comic work! I've been published in the first volume of The Gathering", and I've got more stories coming up in future volumes. The first volume is a critically acclaimed near-sellout, and our editor/fearless leader is currently running a Kickstarter promotion here. Donations come with some pretty cool prizes!
4. Disney Animation femslash recs! This is a fandom I've gotten more into this last year, and it's few and far between. I requested it for Yuletide, but I'm trying to find any fic to devour. Jasmine/Mulan and Mulan/Belle are probably the two pairings I'm most interested in, but I'll take anything.
5. Fanaaaaaaaaaart. Of my fics. Ideally, my favorites would be any of my Cass/Jason/Steph fics, Cassie/Kara fics, or anything with Jessica Drew. If I could pick one fic to get art for, it would be the Heart of Steel verse, which I RP in pretty extensively. But really, any art for my fics would be awesome, and I'd be happy to work out a trade of some sort with interested artists. :)
6. Cassie/Kara fic. There isn't nearly enough in the world. And if anyone besides me wanted to write schmoopy Cassie/Kara futurefic where they're expecting a baby, I'll love you forever.
7. For more people to come and play at
ficartexchange! It's a small community I set up for writers and artists to trade their wares, since many artists don't write and a lot of writers (including yours truly) don't draw!
8. For the Green Lantern movie and the Young Justice cartoon to be gooooooooood. I don't think I've ever anticipated two projects as much as these two. :D
9-10. I don't have any more wishes, really, so I'll just end this list by saying I hope all my friends have a wonderful holiday season, whatever holiday it may be, and may your wishlists be granted as well!
