Fandom Cliches Meme! (From Everyone)

(Note - just because something is not my kink doesn't mean I have a problem with it. To each their own.)

Genderswap - Temporary genderswap can be fun. I'm not a huge fan of it overall, but I don't have anything against it. Oddly enough, however, one of my favorite current characters is a canon genderswap - a female clone of Peter Parker with all his memories. So I guess you could call this a "maybe"? I have read a few awesome ones. A Hal/Kyle particularly comes to mind.

Bodyswap - Now I love this one! Don't write it all that often, but the few times I did, it was hilarious. I especially love when there's a real contrast between the partners and either they're surprisingly okay with it (Cass/Jason in one fic I wrote) or the partner who's more displeased isn't the one you'd expect (Bruce/Clark comes to mind). It's cracky goodness.

Drunk!fic - Ah, yes. I wrote a Cassie/Kara one set after DC sporked their friendship where Cassie showed up drunk and sobbing at Kara's apartment confessing that she only drove Kara away because she was afraid she would get hurt. This can definitely hit my fic buttons. But if it devolves into sketchy sex with only one partner inebriated, that doesn't work for me.

Huddling together for warmth - Oh, yes. Especially if they're stranded somewhere together. Even more so if they're a love/hate couple like Rose/Cassie.

Undercover in a gay bar - Never heard this one. I could totally see Bruce claiming to be undercover when he meets someone there, though. XD

Pretending to be married - Ooh, undercover fun. I could see this working really well for a number of couples. Never written it, but I could see Bruce and Selina pretending to be a married couple to get inside a crime ring or something.

Secretly a virgin - This one is hit-and-miss for me. I like the idea of someone really unlikely turning out to be a virgin, though. Jason comes to mind immediately. XD

Amnesia - Not really my thing, but the idea of trying to help someone get their memories back is sweet. I can take it or leave it.

Cross-dressing - Hee. This is always fun. Bonus points if the guy makes a pretty cute girl. Tim is disturbingly good at this. (Canon!) Also, I can totally see Jessica dressing as a guy once in a while just to try it out.

Forced to share a bed - Heh, pretty much the same as huddling for warmth. I like it a lot more when it's a love/hate thing.

Aliens made them do it - Not a fan of dubious consent or forced sex.

Wingfic - Never read anything like this, not really my thing. Although if the character has wings in canon, some interesting stuff could be done with that.

Mpreg - About as close to a pure squick of mine as possible. Does not work that way! D:

Mistakenly assumed to be gay - Eh. Again, haven't seen much of this. If played for mild laughs, it could work.

Let's play truth or dare - Hee. YES. This can work in so many situations. Sweet first-kiss fic, kinky craziness, and everything in between. I could see just about any of the young characters from DC/Marvel playing this and getting up to some fun.

Mary Sue fic - I don't think there's much call for Marty Stu fics involving my type. XD They don't bother me, but I tend not to read them. I read fanfic for the canon characters, and this doesn't tend to interest me. Any OCs I write are usually minor characters or there primarily to enhance the canon character's story.

Aphrodisiacs - I prefer this to Aliens Made them do it, but only if it works in a way that simply brings up what was already there. I like it for getting characters past those first-time jitters or finally getting them to admit their attraction, but not for getting two random characters together when they had no prior interest.

Curtain fic - Yes. One of my favorite fics I've ever written is this domestic Cassie/Kara fic set 12 years in the future where they deal with parenthood, work, schedules, and Kryptonite flu. I love domestic fic, and I particularly love it when it comes to superheroes, because it's a glimpse at their life that you don't normally see.

Hurt/Comfort - Um, yes. God, this is pretty much my bullet-proof fic kink. It's a little embarassing. XD I break it down into three main categories - personal angst, minor injury, and major injury/disability fic. The first two are light and sweet, and pretty much always put me in a good mood. The third is perfect when I need a hefty dose of angst, and it's also great for showing the strength of the couple/OT3 as they work through it. So, yeah, don't look for my production of this to slow down much. :p

Apocalypse fic - I participated in Apocalyptothon once, and wrote a fun Pushing Daisies fic, but I don't know. Big world-destroying events don't make for a good backdrop for the fics I like to write. Still, wouldn't say no to it.

Someone has a baby - Oh, God, yes. Besides the canon one, of course (Dick/Roy + Lian for the win), I'm a huge sucker for baby!fic. Particularly Cassie/Kara. Hey, one's a demigoddess and the other's a member of the Science guild from a super-advanced civilization. They'd figure it out. ^^ And perletwo once drew me a picture of Cassie cuddling a pregnant Kara that made my forever.

De-aging fic - It can be a fun, light fic leading to some awkward situations. I'm not usually a fan of permanent de-agings, although it can work if the character could really use that fresh start (Rose Wilson, Jason Todd). Also, it's not usually done, but I have a soft spot for a fic where an older character gets de-aged to a young man. I totally want to write a fic where Wildcat gets de-aged to 30 and sweeps Selina off her feet.

Telepathic soulbonding - Oh, M'gann. As my #1 telepath!muse, you're totally getting one of these with Rose/Tim/whoever. :D

Werewolves mate for life - Considering my main original work (not online) involves wolf elementals, I've had to deal with this. I actually wind up averting it, as the trope doesn't really interest me much. I can take it or leave it.
