More specifically, those interested in Baccano!, Durarara!!, or Narita-verse in general.

A few of us are considering making a Baccano!/Durarara!! (and etc) doujinshi anthology for release at Fanime next year (late May, 2011). We want moar people to join us :D

Various things:
-We are aiming for ~100 pages. Depending on how many people we get, it could be more or less. Colour covers, b&w inside; initial print run probably about 50 copies.
-Rating would be for age 16 or under (all-ages, basically; you could have some kissing or something, but no full-out porn.) If you can show it on prime-time cable television, it can be in this book. I don't want to have to deal with carding people for the books ^^;
-You have the super bonus of most of Narita's works taking place in the same universe, and therefore crossovers are totally legit and in some cases canon >> (I think someone needs to do an old!Claire/Izaya trollcomic)
-We are looking for primarily COMICS, though super-illustrated stories (think picture books; an illustration per page plus some text) probably too; not so much plain fanfiction. We may or may not have pinup art (though I think it would be kind of cool to have each artist do a pinup for someone else's comic), it sort of depends. For comics, you are not limited to doing one 15 page comic or something, you can do multiple shorter ones, a bunch of 4-komas, whatever.
-We are looking for WRITERS who would be willing to work with an artist on a comic, as opposed to writing pure fanfiction (I know metronome for example would need a writer, and I would prefer to have a writer myself)
-As I highly doubt I would be able to pay for printing up front out of my own pocket, there's a very good chance that you would be required to chip in on printing costs (split however many ways, depending on the number of participants). Printing funds would be reimbursed in part or in full out of sales monies. Any excess will either go toward a second print run or be divvied up between participants, depending on demand.

I realize this is quite early to be thinking about this type of stuff, but I know a lot of you are either students or work, so it'd give you some 6-ish months to work on your stuff.

This is not limited to my friends list. If you have a friend or know someone who would be interested in participating, let me know and/or direct them to this post (which shall be unlocked). The only reason I'm not going "HEY BACCANO/DURARARA COMM WHO WANTS IN" is because for the time being, I'd rather have it be a group where most, if not everyone knows each other. This may change, depending on how many people we get.

Arright, ya'll know I moved recently, and school started again, too. As the title says, I've done a flist cut, dragging my list of 242 down to 215. It may even go lower when I'm slightly more awake. I probably even have absolutely nothing against you. With moving and the new semester and all that good stuff, I figured I should probably cut back a bit and clean up around here. I just won't have time to keep up with my flist as big as it was ;; If you were added recently, you're currently safe.

ANYWAY.

Reasons you may have been removed:

1) We just didn't click/have never spoken/have never commented on each other's entries. (Seriously. I don't care about OMG YOU MUST COMMENT ON EVERY POST!!! but if you've been on my flist for two years and we've never commented on each other's journals, it's probably time to move on.)
2) I found myself pretty much always skipping over your entries.
3) We've parted ways for some reason or another (differing fandoms, whatever)
4) The journal removed was an old journal of yours, and I still have your current one added.

If you were removed, I probably don't hate you. In fact, you're more than welcome to keep in touch with me via messengers and such. If I did hate you, you would have heard about it :P

Now to work on cutting down this comm list to a more managable number and work on packing a bit more >.>

This post is mainly for my own reference, since I don't have enough HD space to keep these guys on disk until burninating time. This will (probably) be updated every week, and maybe even with subtitles if someone decides we don't already know the whole story. XD; ...And I was really surprised my laptop was able to handle watching this thing.

Anyway. Dragonball Kai! Which is basically just the remake/reversioning of Z, for those not in the know. It's being remastered in HD, redubbed, and some parts reanimated (as judging by the Shiny New OP & ED, and the fact the first episode starts out with Bardock and Frieza. And apparently will be shorter (no Filler Jr. Saga? :D?) XD; IT WILL TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO because the new op/ed and eyecatches are all done in the new OVA animation style and the rest of it is regular old DBZ style. Hur. WATCH. FANGIRL WITH ME. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

Shipment/Shipping: If you're within the US, I prefer to ship flat-rate priority (3-4 doujinshi can fit in one envelope), which runs... $4.60 at last check. Outside the US, I generally use regular airmail unless asked otherwise. Flat-rate envelopes outside the US are $9 to Mexico/Canada and $11 elsewhere in the world (if under 4 pounds).

I package things carefully. Doujinshi are re-enforced with cardboard with big ol' DO NOT BEND signs written on the package, CDs get lots of bubblewrap, etc. I am not responsible for damage during shipping.

Tenipuri - I own mainly Rikkai/Fudoumine/Cross-school stuff, with only a few books for other schools (though I have a large pile of anthologies with pretty much every school. I don't have any Higa/Shitenhouji that hasn't already been posted. [Actually, I own no Higa yet.]) Rikkai is primarily Yagyuu/Niou/Yagyuu, Kirihara/Marui, Niou/Kirihara, Jackal/Marui, Yanagi/Kirihara/Yanagi or Yanagi/Sanada (actually if you can think of a Kirihara pairing I probably have it.) Fudoumine stuff is mainly Ibu/Kamio. I even own An-chan/Kirihara.

If any of you need a room, or know someone (that ruebert, archangel153 or myself maybe knows, but if not I'm cool if you don't send me insane people 8D) that needs a room, we've got extra space in ours.

We prefer Tenipuri people, or at least people who can tolerate it + late nights.

We're at the con hotel (the Marriott) and have the room Thurs. night-Mon. morning. You only have to pay for the nights you're actually there.

My brother is looking for someone to do a piece of artwork for him that would be the basis for a tattoo he's wanting to get.

Info as I know it at the moment: He wants someone to do a pic of Loki holding Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) in a realistic/fantasy-ish kind of way, not er, MLR style or cartoony. (Something I definitely cannot do or I'd do it myself XD - Mjolnir would look something like this). Possibly including a simple background (tree or mountain or wall or something).

Steve (21:14:04): I was thinking of getting loki either holding it on his shoulder or standing with his hands on the hilt, hammer head on the ground, or leaning on it like a prop.

One of the woes of being an art student in three disciplines ~~and having to spend the monies you had set aside to pay for your supplies on text books for your academic classes because financial aid is dicking you over~~ is that you need supplies. Lots of them. And monies with which to purchase said supplies. So, selling off a bunch of doujinshi, pencilboards, bromides, etc (mostly Tenipuri, with some other series' floating about).

So, notes:

Payments/Shipping: Because I need money for this stuff ASAP, I will only accept paypal payments (credit card through paypal, paypal balance or bank transfer. No e-checks, please.) in USD. I will not accept cash/check unless I know you, or you arrange with me privately because you desperately want something. I will ship WORLDWIDE. Payments must be made within 24 hours, or your held items will go back to the sale.

Because of my class schedule, I will only be able to ship on Wednesdays and Fridays/Saturdays. Your stuff will generally be shipped within a week of receiving payment (need time for it to transfer over to my bank account so I actually have the monies to send x3)

Pricing: All prices include/cover shipping, paypal fees and whatever materials I may need to send you your items (as well as the actual item), thus some of them may seem a bit steep.
