This website is the ongoing project of run by an easily overstimulated insect. In the face of an increasingly rapid-paced landscape both within the web and beyond, the solarium exists as a space for chilling out, sharing interests, and learning new things.
getting the most out of your visit
- As of October 2024, midnight solarium has adopted a (somewhat) mobile-friendly layout! Thank you for your continued support as the site continues to evolve and improve <3

- finally fixed the images on the last weblog whoops
- added loading splash screen to homepage, added meta tags to blog posts (now i dont have to manually add the date & word count on both the post and index!), wrote 2025 end-of-year weblog
- wrote a new weblog about a classic creepypasta and coming to terms with "bad art" being popular
- im alive! and i finally cleaned up code on links page (about 25% fewer lines of code!), made recipe page slightly more navigable on mobile (still not great, but getting better), added more recipes, added more ruminations
- added recent embroidery practice to craft catalog, changed weblog and craft image formatting to use less inline css (the text-wrapping jank on smaller screens should be gone now too!), organized navbar and made its links more satisfying to click, updated credits page
- i wrote a very silly weblog about my LGBTQ+ headcanons for animal crossing characters. im not gonna link it here because i wrote it while slightly delirious and i might regret my words later so yall need to work for it
- it's midnight solarium's approximate 1 year anniversary! to celebrate i have made the site more neon!
- mostly a CSS update: toned down overlay effect and remove most page transitions, reduced mobile layout jank, tweaked global and landing page styling, removed landing page link to the old version of site (you can still see it on the neocities version
), also i guess im on fediverse now so i added that link
- wrote a weblog post about Usenet and maybe some other stuff too, added more buttons to links page (this was long overdue; sorry y'all!), changed the flower icon and index page logo, made wilde.AI more cartoonishly evil, tweaked some recipes, changed the weblog page layout, made minor css changes to homepage, made index page more succinct
- launched poetry generator wilde.AI (which is a totally real AI! source: trust me), added ☆.⋆~star pants~⋆.☆ to craft catalog, hung decorative lights on landing page
- wrote a somewhat off-the-cuff weblog about my messy relationship with Valentine's Day, edited some links on previous weblog, added baby blanket to craft catalog, removed carbon counter because it wasn't working properly, fixed css on landing page
- tweaked layout to require less <div>s and look a bit less visually cluttered, made a new button, wrote more ruminations, wrote a brief weblog about a graphics resource i found
- created chaos garden (meant to be a hub for misc. webpages that don't fit anywhere else), made ruminations page, tweaked rss so hopefully it'll show up on nekoweb's built-in feed, tweaked layout to be a bit friendlier to smaller and medium-sized screens
- finally slapped together an RSS feed, retroactively added lazyloading to some image-heavy pages, added new slippers to craft catalog, added more notes to notebook, added one easter egg (good luck!)
- wrote a quick end-of-year weblog, added spacehey link cause i guess im on there now, used nesting to tidy up css, added a page transition that may or may not stick around
- reorganized the homepage, gave weblog posts filterable tags, made minor additions to old notes
- added a guestbook, made a landing page, added more notes to notebook, made notebook look less wonky on smaller screens, realized i forgot to add the new font changer to the weblogs so whoops i finally fixed that, revamped some assets & css
- added fun facts about myself, added more recipes (and hopefully made them easier to read), made a custom 404 page, switched from Google Fonts to self-hosted fonts, added new fonts to the to font changer, kicked font changer outside so it wouldn't cover up the nav bar, fixed some z-index weirdness
- mirrored site on nekoweb (it's still on neocities! for now!), wrote a weblog about changes to the site, added notes on windows management tools, made layout colors pop a bit more, also lets try out a new bg image
- added notes on terminal commands & logical security, added more recipesmost of the new recipes are for snacks & baked goods, but i SWEAR i can make actual meals too!!, made recipe cards a bit more readable (esp. on mobile), some general small css tweaks
- made a new section for digitizing my recipes, added notes going over basic cmd.exe commands
- new weblog about creepypastas & new pair of mittens in craft catalog
- new(ish) layout! now the site's usable on mobile, uses more javascript, uses proper grid and flexbox, and just generally sucks less
- added notes on backups to notebook, included weblog on my backup process, fixed broken links on about webmaster page, added more buttons to links page, polished up layout (new page titles, more element titles, fixed header order, etc)
- created notebook page for my IT study notes, moved old weblog about malware to the new webpage, added font changer to weblog post, created a new and improved tooltipit's still far from perfect, but it gets the job done, changed <b> and <i> colours yet again
- created a links page, made a site button (also on links page), put nav bars in iframes (i dont love how it looks but it should be easier for me to edit sitewide), hopefully got the font changer working fr this time, included piclog widget, fixed inaccurate changelog dates, finally reset my css, reconstructed layout after reset changed everything (*/ω＼)
- new weblog: "this is literally just a list of different types of malware"; also changed the weblog layout 'cause im still not happy with it
- included more lore, made lots of tiny QoL improvements, better colours + mood lighting + different spacing, added flowers (yay!) + bees (sorry entomophobes), created robots.txt file
- added a section for sharing my craft projects (and in the process learned how to make a pure css accordian menu), changed status.cafe section to show full feed, altered the tooltip yet again, made more tiny layout tweaks 'cuz im never satisfied
- site now has a weblog! also made layout more flexbox-centric, added colour emphasis to text for improved readability, got CORS working properly, added a moon phase widget to homepage because i thought it was cute, added advice for viewing to homepage, revealed more personal info in 'about webmaster' page, somehow made tooltip both better and worse
- added an 'about webmaster' page, added new icons and images, added a tooltip even though it doesn't always work because fuck it, decided to link my tumblr because fuck it, made lots of css tweaks that nobody will notice but me
- official site launch! not much to see yet, but there's a homepage and credit page that i'm fairly happy with
