About Michael Quantrell<\/span><\/h1>\n

Michael Quantrell is a seasoned Captain with more than 20 years of experience in yacht engineering, estate management, and racing ventures. His experience includes managing multimillion-dollar refits and overseeing deliveries on the East Coast. Throughout his career, Michael has consistently demonstrated a resilient leadership style.<\/p>\n

He has also weathered severe storms during his career, including Category 4 Hurricane Irma in Florida in 2017.<\/p>\n

As a young boy and adult growing up in Camden, Maine, you could find Michael either on the water or on the ski slopes racing. He was awarded three medals at the Junior Olympics, including a bronze and a silver in the Laser Class Division in a youth sailing competition.<\/p>\n

Michael also raced professionally in various programs while he lived in New Zealand, New England, and England.<\/p>\n

In high school, he dominated skiing and later participated in Friday night lights skiing in Maine for 10 years.<\/p>\n

During this time, he won all three qualifiers in the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge, a free, casual ski and snowboard race series held across Northeastern U.S. ski resorts during winter. He did this while living in Florida.<\/p>\n

He has also won many other small events.<\/p>\n

Since he was 18, Michael Quantrell\u2019s professional life has been as a yacht Captain. He managed boats ranging from 20 to 120 feet, and captained vessels up to 112 feet, most recently coming off a 100-foot vessel. He has managed multimillion-dollar yacht refits, turning vessels into fine pieces of art.<\/p>\n

His experience includes shipping vessels from Mexico and throughout the United States, including the East Coast of Florida, the Bahamas, and up the East Coast.<\/p>\n

For nearly five years, Michael Quantrell has owned Ox Eye Marine, where he manages multiple vessels ranging from 40 feet to 112 feet up and down the eastern seaboard and around every part of the Bahamas and Caribbean. Ox Eye manages all aspects of vessel management, including project management, crew placement, deliveries, systems analysis, major and minor refits, freighter shipping overseas, sales, boat shows, and every aspect tailored to individual needs and boat-specific requirements.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
