After a bit of an interruption we returned to Gettysburg for some much needed clarity. The clouds thickened as we entered the park. It was forecast to become cloudy as storms were moving into the region that evening. I chose a spot we had found on one of our first exploration drives around the Roundtop/Devil’s Den/Wheatfield area. I set up along the field edge looking into a grove of trees at the Slyder farm just below Dinosaur Bridge at Plum Run. The bugs were bad. Sweat bees enjoyed my legs while gnats buzzed my head. It was overcast but humid. It was not the color and scene I had anticipated, but that is the point, to see this area in all weather, all seasons.
