After a morning interview ( keep your fingers crossed for me, por favor! ), I decided - like the terrible, terrible student I am - to forgo reading for class in favor of window-shopping around the mall; of course, this never bodes well for my wallet...or my grades, for that matter.

When a Swarovski bag is involved, you know a sparklefest is soon to follow. Hell, Edward Cullen wishes he could sparkle like a Swarovski original. Ain't gonna happen, Edward.

Cutest hat in existence - note the rhinestone-etched paw prints! It came as an added gift w/ my main purchase.

Here's said purchase stowed safely away in a cylindrical case. What's in it? Inquiring canine minds and noses want to know!

It's Simba! Swarovski's 2010/ 11 Disney collection includes The Lion King's Mufasa, Pumbaa, Simba, and Timon, among other v. memorable characters. Check it out here but be prepared for the waves of nostalgia to hit. ;)

The Lion King is a film that's v. near and dear to my heart, so when I saw this collection on display in the Swarovski store, my jaw dropped. I could not, not walk away without taking one of these pieces home w/ me - price tag be damned. I chose Simba because of the special significance he holds for me, and to be honest, I can't quite describe what it means to me to own Swarovski's breathtaking rendition of him. He's sitting proudly atop my desk - a modern Pride Rock for him to rule.

So Close; a Billy/ Penny fanmix

The other day, my good and equally dorky ( perhaps more so? -wink- ) amiga amethystshade challenged me to put together a Billy/ Penny fanmix, so I busted out my ancient PSP 7 and - after taking a deep breath - dove into my disorganized mess of a music library.

With my elementary skills in design and my ( hopefully ) not-as-elementary skills in hunting for music, I managed to churn out this modest mishmash of sounds and graphics. Enjoy. :)
