Wrong Notes
Are still music
bad days are just wrong notes
in the music of our lives
but they are still music
a wrong note is not really wrong
it is an event that forces us to
change, adapt and improvise
only beautiful things
can come from the tension
between the notes you wish to play
and the notes that demand to be played
the most important thing is to
never stop playing
never put the music off
never silence your expression
no matter how many wrong notes
you’ve stumbled over
your music is worth hearing
your experience valid
many of us chase brilliance
as if it were made
from the dust of perfection -
the devil’s work
a concept sent to torture artists
true brilliance
is not a perfect performance
or a flawless piece
it is the act of showing up

Played piano in elementary school. Getting the yearn to pick it up again. I recall hearing more than once that the audience won't notice a wrong note unless you react to it. Still gotta keep on with the piece. I liked this.
