Calender meme
Sign that I have too much time on my hands - excessive memes popping up in entries. I only do the ones that seem interesting, I swear! Stole this one from
duokinneas. First sentence from your first entry in each month this year, with commentary. My comments will be in italics afterwards.
January - First of all, I can't believe I've been posting in this thing for a little over a year now. I still can't believe I have this thing and keep it fairly up-to-date when at first I had no idea of what even to write in a fairly public, online journal.
February - Well, I had a nice entry typed up, complete with fifteen-minute ficlet, but the computer fucked up. Story of my writing life this year. Either I never had a working computer when I wanted to write, I flat out had writer's block, or the library computer ate it. But I still managed to win Best One-Shot in the BND contest. And I still can't believe I won.
March - Songs seem to be getting stuck in my head a lot lately. I complain about that a lot, but I really don't mind it too much because there's usually some reason for it.
April - I feel a little better than I did last week. Obviously during a down period of the mood swings that are my life. This year and last year have just been more full of them than the two or three years prior.
May - Another song that's made me cry: The Calling - Wherever You Will Go. Don't get me started on that song. I love it, I really do, but it makes me think of someone just a little too much.
June - Morning is evil/Sunlight- a pain on the eyes/How long until dark?. Haiku, folks. Live with it. Haven't done any of those in a while. Hmmm....
July - I've been getting up before noon lately. 10-10:30 is now my usual wake-up time, with anywhere between 2 and 4 AM being the time I fall asleep.
August - No time for really long post. I think this was one of those days at the library where it took so long to catch up on friend entries that I had no time to write anything for myself.
September - I'm feeling so antisocial lately I've been ignoring the voicemail from Will for nearly a week. Like I've ignored my father's voicemail all day? I'm terrible at getting back to people who call me, unless they're like Will and only really call when drunk, in which case I wait until some time when they should be sober to get in touch with.
October - First, just to be bored, I'm gonna post a list of all the manga I've read/am currently reading at Barnes and Noble when I have time to kill. Not a long list, was it? Oh well, I don't obsessively read anything just because it's popular or has pretty artwork. There must be an actual story!
November - Halloween was fun. Yeah, actually, it was. I want to confuse people about my gender even more than I already do.
December - My subject line is the first thing that popped into my head yesterday morning when I saw snow on the Cascades. Well, technically my first post of the month was a voice post, but I didn't wanna listen to it and write down the first sentence of travelling babble I said. And this makes no sense out of context.
