What is this real update nonsense?
I have been a lazy, lazy Ken lately and haven't said shit here in a while, so I guess I'll talk about what's going on in bullet point form so I don't get too wordy on you all.
- Started school last week. Full time student, gonna be getting roughly $3600 in financial aid on Feb. 4, woohoo. Between that and Met's aid and her working, we'll be comfortable for the term.
- Most of my classes are pretty awesome. Except for Intro to Physics, that's boring as all hell and I really wish I'd taken something else but it's too late to change anything now. Fuck my life. Would people here be interested in reading my Creative Writing stuff as I do them? I'll need editors for the longer short stories too.
- As a result of the financial aid, we are going to Sakuracon as our one major splurge for our sanity. There are going to be a ton of people we know there, both from Amat and various other Internet connections, so it'll be a blast, I'm sure! Staying with friends so we don't have to pay for a hotel, just chip in for food and booze.
- I'm going to be using the "everything is fabulous" tag for transition-related entries, so skim past them if that's not your thing. So far, I've had a couple small changes of the TMI/genital variety and Met says she's noticed a little bit of facial hair darkening. Next shot is Monday, yippee.
- Between Amat-related Plurk and a random entry at the ABQ comm, I have a couple new local acquaintances! My social anxiety means I'd love to meet them in person at some point, but I'm terrified to at the same time :(
- Speaking of anxiety, my shrink has me trying to analyze my thought patterns to break my bad patterns in that area. Let's see how it works, since the Lexapro is doing a fucking awesome job.
- Dropped back to 300mg on my Neurontin since 600mg was causing a lot of weight gain and mental fog. I didn't really notice the latter until it cleared up and I returned to my normal rate of creativity. Hopefully I can drop it completely soon because...
- I have a diagnosis on my right arm! Severe tennis elbow that's spread down to affect my hand as well. I have massages and stretches to do for it and the physical therapist said that, once this was better, she'd be willing to help me with my lower back/hip as well. I hope that being more active because of school and walking to appointments all the time will help that too, since I'll be losing weight and actually getting exercise.
I think that's everything important? There are other things I could talk about, but I don't feel like it right now.
