Sorry for the delay! I was waiting to get the pics from our friends since we didn't take any photos ourselves but here they are!!

On behalf of renji_fan1185 (tomo-chan) and myself (horio), we want to thank everyone that came. We had a blast hosting and we hope you all had fun playing along!

After the quiz, it was craft time! Everyone was given a blank cut-out of a person and were told to make their favorite character, who they were cosplaying, any character they liked in PoT with construction paper and markers.

IT WORKS!!!

Now to start poking at Fanime pics X3 and all that good stuff. I need to start backing up my pics and music and videos on top my HUGE new external drive in case this ickyness happens again. I'm planning on getting a new laptop at some point this year, but I think it'll wait til fall/winter. As long as this one's still going, I'll be okay. Oh laptop, I missed you~

I have this weekend off. I think I'll either clean and throw out a bunch of the crap in my room or I'll sew. I'm in the mood to randomly make a Sailor Scout fuku but... I don't know which one to do. I'm leaning towards Mercury, Venus, or Moon herself. We'll see. I need to do Raikou hakama, but those are easy. I've made Hakama twice before already.

Anywho, I'm off to do a happy dance to JOURNEY, bitches. JOURNEY. I bought The Essential JOURNEY, 3 discs of AMAZING.

My b-day report :D

So, I stayed up all night friday night to try and get my costume done. I honestly didn't start sewing the dress until friday evening even though I had the day off. I'm just stupid and like to procrastinate like that.

SO. Saturday morning around 10ish, I wake Jackie up and we figure out what time we're getting together to go. So I'm trying to finish the dress still, the back wasn't connected to the front and there was no zipper and the lining wasn't sewn on and XD There were no sleeves on the dress yet and the cape wasn't done XD So 12 comes around and she's still there so I had time.

To save you all a long story, the costume is DONE... kinda. The dress is sewn together and all the accessories are done and ready, they just need to be attached to the dress. The cape still needs it's little tabs sewn on but that's ok.
I didn't wear it to the con. BECAUSE, even though it was done, it was a rushed done and I didn't feel right like leaving the house looking like that. PLus, the sleeves are too wide at the top so the back kinda flops out and then the front drops XD SO it's done, just not completely fitted right XD I ran out of energy to fix the sleeves, so I'll do that later.

Now that it's all 'done', i'm going to go in and fix the little things that bug me about the dress. Like, line the sleeves since they look gross with hemmed edges. And fix the bottom because for some reason, one corner of the back doesn't line up with the rest of the dress O_o And then, I'll buy some more metal snaps so I can attached the gold pieces to the dress so they'll stay on more securely than with the cheap plastic ones i had laying around.

ANYWAY, TL;DR, I know, let's move on to the pics :D I took some pics of what Jackie and I wore to the con :D I didn't have the energy to finish sewing the dress, so i didn't have the energy to iron Ringo and wear her XD SO i just kinda threw an outfit together. It's very Nana inspired considering it's mainly made up of my Nana cosplay stuffs. Only difference is that I don't have a Nana wig. So I wore my Rei Ayanami wig :3

I tried to get a cool pic with the sun going down through the frosted glass but meh, didn't come out as good as I had hoped.

And here's me as my original character, Rei Ayanana. She's a punk rocker who lives in Tokyo III, she fights Angels by day and fronts a rock band by night.
...I'm totally joking about that.

My character's name is really Shana. She's Shin and Nana's love child :D

That was a joke too. XD

The dealer's room kinda blew but there was one girl selling screen printed shirts in the artist alley with catch phrases on them. There was one shirt I knew I had to buy for Elisa the moment I saw it.

I'm sure it's pretty self explanatory for all you Dr. Horrible fans.

You can see the dress, the wig in a little baggy, and the choker/collar that I LOVE soooo much. LOVE IT. I really wish I could have finished the costume if only for that collar XD And the wig X3 and the PINKNESS of it all. ALso, I apologize if my bedspread blinded anyone ;D

Nia wig part 2!

I think I'm just about done! :D I didn't curl the blue hair because I kinda just want it to be an accent color to the hair. I dunno. We'll see how it looks when the whole costume is put together.

Sooo yea! I cleaned the curls up nicely though :D Now to get working on the dress. Now that the wig is done, I can move it so I can sew XD I figured out how I'm going to do the dress though with the pattern that I bought. Should go start that now, since I'm not really tired...

I think my mom's supposed to be at work right now >___> hmmm... to wake her or not to wake her...

Nia costume progress!

Yes, that's right, I haven't forgotten my goal of finishing my Nia costume by next weekend! Today I started working on the jewels and the wig! I don't have the time or the outdoor temperature to do resin casting for jewels right now so I tried a different technique using hot glue gun glue in the mold. It worked. So cool. I just sharpied them the right color after. These are just my stand in jewels until the weather gets nicer i.e. closer to Fanime.

Here are some progress shots of the wig!

I brushed out the curly wig because it would give it a lot more volume which Nia's hair has TONS of. Besides, it's easier to work with it when I don't have to worry about keeping the curls nice and neat.

I've only gotten about half of it done right now because my back started hurting from being hunched over so long and I stabbed my finger with the stupid curved needle >_<

anyway. PICS!

This is the inside of the wig where I was sewing the blue wefts in. Very time consuming. That's about as far as I've gotten. Gotta sew the other side on and then another layer into another layer of the hair. good times.

I went ahead and pinned everything in to see how it would look when complete :D I'll need to trim and curl a few strands and whatnot but I think it'll look pretty nice!

Yeah, the front'll need some trimming and whatnot. I didn't want to use the blow dryer since everyone else is asleep so the front cheek curls are a little crazy. I'm excited to finish this!

Anyway, I'm gunna go pass out now. Tireds~~ NINI!

Umm... seriously, I suck at this halloween thing. And that depresses me. Since it's like most favoritest holiday besides christmas. T___T I stayed home and did nothing. BUT I'm going to raid the costume stores tomorrow to see what kind of wigs and crap they have left over and what not. AND CANDY. CHEAP CANDY FTW!!!! but yes.

I'm SO ready to start working on costumes~ I need to deposit a check from the school, clean my room so I can have space for costume making, and then try to figure out what comes first @__@ so much to do. I can't wait to start the Shitenhouji for me and rachel. it's going to be a lot of work since we have to custome dye the fabric~ gradient YAY and then we have to paint on the leafy pattern afterwards~ ANd I need to finish my damn Wolfram Jacket. I have everything I need except a zipper.

I need to get my school shit together too so i can go back to Cali for the spring~ I'm doing NOTHING for my major all the way out here in New York and it's really frustrating. I need to physically be there for classes or else I don't feel the urge to do them. I SUCK.

Got bored around 10 o'clock at night and dyed my bangs purple and blue.

The other night Rachel and I made homemade pasta YAY! It looks really weird here cuz we don't have the neat pasta presser that my dad has so we had to roll it out and I really suck at rolling it out thin enough...so it all looks kinda lumpy~ it was yummy though!

-talking to karisu_sama about PoT and stuff cuz her Atobe was SOO AMAZING *__*
-Taking some pics as Kamio with a Shinji that is not my own~ too bad they came out blurry T__T stupid bad hotel lighting

Saturday:
-Maid!Wolfram costume with my Yuuri~ We were soo cute! ^_^
-Ouran Twins with nerdcore~ Thanks again! Even though plans fell through, we still got some awesome photos! It was really cool to be able to take pictures with you ^__^
-PoT Gathering as Gakuto with an AMAZING group of people~ I can't wait to see all the pics that everyone got~

OK GUYS we got schedule!!!

And, no sukisyo then? Suddenly, It seems I have all the time in the world.

And should I bother making the Wolfram Uniform? I kinda want to but we'll see..

According to the schedule, there's pretty much nothing happening on friday, saturday is all about the guests and the events, and sunday is chock full of panels. SO. yea.
Bad thing about our alotted time is that it's the same time as the Ball Jointed Doll panel -_-;; not good.

My mom wasn't able to find a purple turtleneck for me SO instead (she is a magically awesome mommy) she got white ones and dyed them purple for me *______* <3333 She is so full of awesome. SO as soon as those are washed and dried i get to start playing with diluted bleach and PAINT!!! Purple Sweater Of Doom ver 2.0 WILL LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHnfufufufufufufu!
In the meantime, I need for finish cutting Yuushi wig for Sera (<3) and style me new Nfu!Wig ^__^ and I'll give rachel a call later for the Emo!Wigs and her company ^__^
OH and elisa? My fudo should be here any day~ Got the email yesterday soo ^____^ and we can wear those sunday after the panel I guess~

Ok, so really, this is the most unorganized schedule ever. Seriously. It would be amazingly organized if we just knew the time for the panel....Y-con is less than a week away...I'd like to know please >___<

The only one that I think would work nicely is the Fudo on sunday, what do you think Elisa? Then we can wear them home back into the city (and truffleoysterbean activities with kirakiraness) and scare the normal people! :D I'll talk to you about that more later to clarify.

I'm debating PoT shorts or pants...I don't want to bring so much stuff T__T

Mind the Gap

Thanks everyone for the b-day wishes ♥

It was a good day~ I did my homework and chatted with people during the day. Watched me some DeathNote and D.Grayman anime and just kind of loafed around. Talked to my mom on AIM too (she has AIM and is fascinated by the smilies, she spams) and she said kept telling me that I'm 21 and not 5. How mean.
Then my dad came home and we went out to this Thai place in the center of town~ It was pretty good~ We got some Satay, some little wonton-ish things (totally can't remember the name), some red curry, and some Pad Thai. YUM. Then we came back home and had cake which said "Auguri" on it (my dad just can't let go of Italy XD) and some nice dessert wine and watched a couple episodes of the british The Office (fucking hillarious). And then I got a present ^___^ weee! He got me an Ipod Nano~ Its pretty nifty. I'm kind of afraid I'll sit on the poor thing >__> But it's white and pretty and I named it Mizuki. Yes, I know. I have an unhealthy obsession. Moving on... Then I went to set it up and stuff and had Elisa-truffle walk me through putting music on it since I'm a total iTunes n00b. I fail. But all is well! Mizuki now contains some nice musics. What I love about it is that it's got 4 games on it too! I'm sooo playing them on the plane. Screw listening to music, I'm playing solitaire biotch!

In other news, I am very pleased with how much my hair has grown out since we cut it (which isn't much but whatever). I now have perfect Wolfram length hair ^__^ I'll just need to bleach it when I get home in between all the sewing and painting and wig styling YAY LAST MINUTE!

1 week til YaoiCon...and no schedule up yet *twiddles thumbs* I'd like to know when my panel is pleeeeeeeeeease. Aaa oh well.
Looks like we're doing Sukisyo too~ So I'll have to clean up those jackets and iron them and brush out the sunao wig and I think I need to restyle Sora, but we'll see.
I really just want to get some good pics in the costumes since we didn't stop and take some time to do it at Fanime. Lots of work went into those wigs so I want some nice shots, da ne!
SO! Joanie-oyster, let me know when (caitlin, kaytlin, katelynn, kwuridtimsm, Nagase-buchou) is going to be there and we can all costume time together~ I'm so bringing my red contacts and wearing them ^____^
I want my Fudo uniform T__T is it there yet?? buuu. My emo wig is all colored and ready(except a bit of trimming and thinning that needs to be done)!
