Stargate Anniversary Fest

and October 28, 1994, will be the 30th anniversary of Stargate, the original movie.

I did sign up. Hard to do with my fingers crossed. *g*

Rodney gave the job of finding the perfect turkey to Ronon. It took some convincing, but once he'd explained the deep fry method of cooking a large bird Ronon had agreed with enthusiasm. So much so that Rodney just hoped he'd bring back something that would fit in the deep fryer.

He'd assigned gravy-making John. And, no. He shouldn't have had to explain the importance of gravy, but John was an American and hadn't grown up with poutine. Sadly, John's main experience with gravy only went as far as mashed potatoes and turkey sandwiches.

Rodney shook his head. A brief lament for all those who had missed out on that perfect, delicate balance of French fry to cheese to gravy combination.

Teyla, he'd put in charge of the seating arrangements and everyone including Teyla had sighed in relief.

Lorne had offered to handle the miscellaneous food items. He'd been grinning when he promised to talk with the cooks and see what Pegasus foods came closest to replicating a Thanksgiving meal. "The kitchen will do you proud, McKay. Everyone is looking forward to this feast. Although, I'll make no promises on the color of the cranberry sauce."

They'd all gone their separate ways to prepare, and now everything was almost ready. Rodney rubbed his palms together in happy anticipation. There'd be no excuse for lemon meringue pie to darken their table today. For Rodney had designated himself in charge of pies!
