~::~ Lost September Love ~::~

~::~ Lost September Love ~::~

Twilight hour rung athwart the earth

Darkness spread, sunlight in dearth

She crept up along the wilderness

Stealthily, adorned in her black dress

Awaiting his arrival yet another night

Quickened paces, emotions tight

Sauntered pass the bereft trees

Sensing beyond what the eye sees

Beads on her brow, this warm September

A year back right here, would he remember?

Their mellow love inscribed across valley

Scented flowers, dewy grass- their ally

Ah! That sweet september love

When sparks flew o’er heathery alcove

Moments etched pure in her every pore

He left as she yearned for more

Alas! The night lost forever

Left unto faith to tether

Hours of tonight, passed in eerie silence

Nocturnal friends awaited, anxiety intense

In the wake of the moon shining bright

Sitting by the rock, she wept in quiet

Another night ends, another defeat

Amplified wait for next meet

Crestfallen she trudged, forlorn

As arose Sun, embarking new dawn

A wait so long, lasting eternity

Until togetherness sets her free

~::~ Dreamy Boat ~::~

On dark foggy night

Sailing surreal boat

Twinkly stars, Moon bright

In dreams I’m afloat

Sailing surreal boat

O’er moors hills vales

Envious birds, I gloat

Leaving wispy trails

Twinkly stars, moon bright

Gliding past valleys, seas

Panoramic sights

Magical carpet flees

In dreams I’m afloat

Light feathery gait

A pink horizon coat

Lovely dawn awaits

Quadrilew

Created by C. G. V. Lewis, the Quadrilew is a form of quatrain poem with an abab rhyming scheme,

repeating lines, and contains an alternating syllable structure. In the first verse, the poet may either start with a five or six syllable line.  If the choice is five then the ‘sounding’ syllable count is (and opposite if the count is six):

 VERSE ONE,

Line 1, 5 syllables.

Line 2, 6 syllables.

Line 3, 5 syllables.

Line 4, 6 syllables.

 VERSE TWO,

Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 2 of the FIRST verse) has 6 syllables.

Line 2 new line of 5 syllables

Line 3 new line of 6 syllables

Line 4 new line of 5 syllables.

 VERSE THREE,

Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 3 of the first verse) has 5 syllables.

Line 2 new line of 6 syllables.

Line 3 new line of 5 syllables.

Line 4 new line of 6 syllables.

 VERSE FOUR,

Line 1, (which is a REPEAT of line 4 of the first verse) has 6 syllables.

Line 2 new line of 5 syllables.

Line 3 new line of 6 syllables.

Line 4 new line of 5 syllables.

 If  the first line of verse one has 6 syllables then the pattern is

Verse 1, 6565,

Verse 2, 5656,

Verse 3, 6565,

Verse 4 5656:  (the rhyme pattern still being abab.)

~::~ Hopes Affray ~::~

~::~ Hopes Affray ~::~

Fog unfurls, diurnal draws close

My soul awakens, dawn of night

Feeble stars arise at twilight

Many years, I have lain to doze

Awaiting influx yet today

Advents deceive, to my dismay

Standing there with a blood red rose

Patience ruffle and surrender

Hopes affray, emotions tender

Destiny belies, as life slows

Worthlessness slyly raises head

I recline, again on death-bed

Constanza

The Constanza, created by Connie Marcum Wong, consists of five or more 3-line stanzas.  Each line has a set meter of eight syllables. The first lines of all the stanzas can be read successively as an independent poem, with the rest of the poem weaved in to express a deeper meaning. The first lines convey a theme written in monorhyme, while the second and third lines of each stanza rhyme together.

Rhyme scheme: a/b/b, a/c/c, a/d/d, a/e/e, a/f/f………etc.

Setting sun, twilight purple sky

Popping stars twinkling diamond studs

Heathery bed, velvet rose buds

Intimacy sets, fervent high

Tangled fingers, stupor lingers

Pervasive frantic kisses ply

Throes of sanity, passion floods

Setting sun, twilight purple sky

Setting sun, twilight purple sky

Euphoria rising in blood

We lay entwined upon cold mud

Up roaring furor souls defy

Drizzling rain alleviates pain

As it pours; this eve of July

Utterly spent, exhaustion floods

Setting sun, twilight purple sky

There I sat

Multi-hued strokes of brush

Wisps of brown catching golden sunlight

Eyes icy-blue reflecting deep rivers agile

Apple pink cheeks blushing red, cherry lips smile bright

Dainty damsel, slender figurine

Mesmerizing beauty

Here I sketch

Trois-par-Huit

The Trois-par-Huit was created by Lorraine M. Kanter.

 Trois-par-Huit (Three-by-Eight or Octa-Tri for short), a poem containing three stanzas of 3, 3

and 2 lines OR 3, 2 and 3 lines: 8 lines total with a syllable count of 3, 6, 9, 12, 12, 9, 6, 3.

The rhyming pattern is AAB BBC CC where the last line is the title of the poem and summarizes

the meaning of the poem.  *Note: These poems are to appear center aligned.

~::~ Doomed Destiny ~::~

The Florette, created by Jan Turner, consists of two or more 4-line stanzas.

Rhyme scheme: a,a,b,a

Meter: 8,8,8,12

Fourth line requirement of internal (b) rhyme scheme, on syllable 8.

Like the outgrowing of a small flower, the forth line of each stanza is longer, and enwraps the

previous lines. Line #4 requires an internal rhyme scheme that rhymes the eighth syllable with

the end of line #3, and continues to add on four more syllables than the other lines so that the

fourth line ends rhyming with lines #1 and #2.

~::~ Doomed Destiny ~::~

Mottled rags & flaky parched skin

I am all alone, none akin

Till a dawn that brightens my sky

Tears from weary bloodshot eyes, of diamante flints

I sat there waiting until doom

My life seems lost in wintry gloom

Wonder when snow cover shall lift

Waiting alone with dreams adrift, my pain entombed

Looking past a life that’s obscure

Although future appears unsure

Hoping against hope, tide shall change

Hang on though utterly deranged, destiny lures

~::~ Dreamy Flights ~::~

I sail away on deep blue seas

A million stars twinkle so bright

Pearly full moon, misty moonlight

Flowery fragrant wafting breeze

Distant presence, feelings intense

Undying hopes that never cease

Dreams of yonder, capture my night

I sail away on deep blue seas

~::~ Untainted Love ~::~

For the first time in my poetic life I am writing for my one and only true Love..the love that has manifested in me and will manifest till my soul rips apart…Cos for me, HE is the supreme power that spreads life gives hope and is Everything to me…

And today I felt the urge to pen my thoughts.. they may not be a complete revelation of my deepest feelings.. but they are me and they are HIM….with my untainted love and uttermost devotion to my one and only  Lord SHIVA 🙂

~::~ Untainted Love ~::~

I have loved you since eternity of time

I will love you till my senses sublime

You have been there guiding looking over me

You will be with me till you set my soul free

My karma my dharma mingle together

Until my spirit meets you to tether

Fervently await our convergence to One

Confluence that’d shine brighter than any Sun

I love you more than ever

I will love you forever

You are me and I am you

My Lord in Blue My Lord in Blue

~::~::~::~

and whilst i write this tears fill my eyes and my heart echoes HIS name and HE knows it all 🙂 🙂  🙂

||Om Namah Shivaya||
