It is with immense pride and a great sense of responsibility that I assume the august office of the Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. I am deeply privileged and honored to join this University, named after the great social reformer of India, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, as its Vice Chancellor.

Maharshi Dayanand University stands as a leading institution of Haryana and the nation, renowned for its academic and research excellence, social outreach, sports, literary accomplishments, and cultural achievements. The distinguished alumni of this University have made their mark in diverse fields through their remarkable contributions.
This University shall continue to draw inspiration from the life journey of Sir Chhotu Ram Ji, whose progressive vision, hard work, and perseverance enabled him to pursue higher education at a young age. Universities are known not only for academic excellence and knowledge creation, but also for humanism and meaningful contributions to society. In this regard, the foremost requirement is the smooth functioning of the University with the active involvement of all stakeholders—students, faculty, and staff.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisions the promotion of quality research within the higher education system and seeks to prepare stakeholders by integrating interdisciplinarity, innovation, and a culture of entrepreneurship.
Together, we shall build upon the existing strong foundation, and with a futuristic vision aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047, we shall take our University to new heights of academic excellence, meaningful research, inclusive learning, students’ capacity building in consonance with global trends, holistic personality development, professional growth avenues for faculty members, and a responsive as well as responsible administration.
