One of McAdams’ key and long-standing service areas of our Water Resources team is the design and implementation of various Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) and best management practices (BMP) design for municipalities and local developments. We have a long and successful history of SCM and BMP designs across the Southeast, including wet ponds, stormwater wetlands, underground detention, bioretention cells and sand filter design, to name just a few. In short, this is a service we provide every day.

McAdams’ hydraulic modeling expertise is built on over 40 years of working on projects within regulated streams and floodplains. Our modeling projects address both stream stabilization and flood capacity. With a number of certified floodplain managers on staff, our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience with both local and federal flood study requirements.

McAdams is committed to the rehabilitation and enhancement of ecological function of surface water through engineering design and techniques inspired by natural systems and materials. Our stream + wetland design team has extensive experience supporting mitigation bankers, conservation groups and municipal clients.
